Re: Martu Black Friday time
you can opt for two shipping options for Martu straps - free snail mail, or express courier service that costs about £60! I would never choose express shipping on a handmade item which isn't expected to be ready for weeks as whether it does or not it feels like pressuring the maker which seems rude...

Re: Martu Black Friday time
I’d bet my watch fund ( ) that anything is going to look good on this watch. I don't think the blue and orange hybrid would look great, I find bright white looks a bit clean for a canvas strap too. Other than that you're probably right  How long are you expecting to wait fo...

Re: Still my favourite flieger - Typhoon c1000
There was a Fleiger shaped hole in my collection so I bought one of these - not sure it's right to call it a favourite with no comparison made but I love it. The only "problem" is my unwillingness to put it on a black strap, it looks great on a bright yellow perlon but it's getting grubby ...

Re: Let's hear it for the Royal Mail/Parcel Force
It's a strike, the inconvenience is surely the point. It is, but knowing there's a strike and backlog why are they still advertising/selling guaranteed time-frame deliveries they know they can't achieve? Living very near the sorting office Royal Mail has always treated me well - second class and tr...

Re: Calling All Members - Guess Who I Am
^ I would be shocked if I could identify anyone (except perhaps missF) from their whole entry in this, how can people do it from just a few words?! Amazing

Re: FLE 2023 Launch Announcement
They will make more. We are currently at 31 reserved numbers via Kip's thread!  Congratulations! I suspect there are many more reservations than that, not everyone will have wanted a specific number below 30 let alone one that was still available. I wonder how many chose to have a m...

Re: FLE 2023 Launch Announcement
^^^ That's high praise  It's true though, the Bronze and Lucerne are plain dials with one colour font and plain hands and I'd messed up the white by using the 36mm making that the same. The pop of colour on the standard black and white versions make them more interesting but even if they w...

Re: FLE 2023 Launch Announcement
Interesting! The black dial looks bigger to me. +1 Replacing the dials with orange and pasting in the FLE dial reveals that the black dial is indeed the biggest, it's not even close. Good eyes gents  Sealanders2.jpg The bezel will be the same size as the standard C63 39mm. Any differences ...

Re: Calling All Members - A Chance to Get To Know Each Other
These are surprisingly short, not sure if that makes it easier or harder to write one. I'll have a go!

You know what? This doesn't look terrible
So you would be a good person to ask if the Sealander is a "heavy watch", meaning the strap will fit?Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 8:57 amAndrea's 'Heavy Padded' straps are one of my favourites

Re: FLE 2023 Launch Announcement
Belated thanks and congratulation to the design team - I should not have doubted you even as little as I did  In an attempt to answer the "does the black ring make it look bigger or smaller?" I fired up gimp (paint/photoshop for Linux) and attempted to resize some Sealanders to compa...

Re: FLE Speculation
I think it's an absolute outrage that every single member of this Forum wasn't able to throw in their ideas and have a say in the final design. Yes I know, a horse designed by a committee is a camel, but I like camels. I like camels too  I'll reserve thanks and praise until I've seen what's be...

Re: CW Halo models
Just realised there is no mention of the Sealander Elite with it's pop-out crown in this thread - not a limited edition but no less technically impressive, much like the JJ0X movements.
