Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Down through Glencoe today then headed east to skirt Edinburgh and into the borders, with another favourite road between Biggar and Moffat, before jumping on the A74 down towards Penrith(ish) for the final night. Great weather in the main. [emoji106] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240905/c0c43a2...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

I’m not a motorcyclist but this looks like a great route in a little sports car, either modern (eg, Mazda MX5) or classic (eg, Triumph TR6). What do you think? It would be good in a small car, although not as good as a bike.[emoji3] Some of the route is single track with passing places. On a bike i...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Weather looks significantly better. Hope it's good for you today, as well, Richard. We need to know though which watch you're wearing for the week. I don't anticipate you've taken more than one.  Guy Sent from my Galaxy S23 Ultra using Tapatalk https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240905...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Another brilliant day yesterday, starting in Arisaig and then on a ferry to Skye, lunch in Portree before the ride back to Fort William. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240905/ab37f2c9149d3f2d293be5f5a2c9282d.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240905/436a00933ab5e463c428a9a5db78201c.jpg https...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Epic day yesterday, despite some rain. Across to Mull for a circuit and Tobermory for lunch, followed by the Finnish-Lochaline ferry to ride the epic roads from Lochaline to Arisaig for dinner. If you have a motorcycle this is a highly recommended route. If you don’t have one, get one. [emoji3] http...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

I treated myself to this ZZR1400 at the beginning of the year, I wanted one from the first time I set eyes on one when they first came out. It’s a great chassis and engine but yeah, maybe a bit sporty… I have a couple of friends with GTR1400’s, one of which has done well over 100k miles. They seem ...

Re: C60 Trident Lumiere

I think this is a great watch. Yes the markers look 'blocky' on the ultra close-up shots but on the wrist I expect they'll look very crisp and functional.

Great to see CW putting resources into this type of watch.

Re: Non CW of the Day

I have to say this Rolex impressiveness/status thing is not working for me. I have been wearing my Explorer for weeks, and nothing has happened. Nothing at all.

Perhaps I'm doing it wrong.

Very interesting to hear you've reached the end of the line, Guy - if indeed it's not just a refueling stop...

Thanks, scooter.

I'm off on another trip next week...

Overview of route.jpg
Did a very similar route two or three years ago, and discovered some epic roads and scenery. Just need the weather to play fair now. :)

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Not just an IAM pass, but a masters distinction, pretty impressive, well done. Also a member since I was 19  Thanks. I passed my DVSA motorcycle test in late 2018 and my IAM Advanced in 2019. I've been threatening to do my Masters for the last couple of years, but finally got it sorted thi...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Top notch, Richard. Great accolade. I was a member of the IAM when I was 19, on the promise of a discount on car insurance. Trouble was the Insurers that would give a discount, didn't like 19 year olds. :-k :-k About ten years later, I had to relinquish my membership, having been nabbed for speedin...
