Re: ETA movements
One of the things I like about Christopher Ward is that we actually know what is inside the watch. You look at other watch makers and you've no idea. However, I do wonder what the difference is between the Swiss movements and the Japanese movements. Anyone know?

Re: My Kingfisher arrived
Although I said I would not post again on this subject, I really want to make it clear, that I do understand that nothing is ever perfect. Some people may think, that by returning the Kingfisher, I cut off my nose to spite my face and that I was being over zealous in my reaction to the quartz moveme...

Re: My Kingfisher arrived
This is my final letter, so let me just add a couple more points I left out. First of all, I was really annoyed that false information about delivery was made on my tracking site. "being packed and ready to go" if I remember correctly was the phrase. That was on the site for at least 2 wee...

Re: My Kingfisher arrived
I think you know what I mean about no moving parts. Yes, I am disgruntled as I am already in possession of an automatic watch from CW, which has never been right since I got it 18 months ago, despite returning it twice and about to return for the third time. I think I have the right to expect a quar...

Re: My Kingfisher arrived
If you only had it a few days at the most how on earth could you honestly accurately chart the accuracy of the watch? Yes a quartz should be more accurate than that but in the short time you had it I am surprised that you could really form a complete picture on its overall accuracy in such a short ...

Re: My Kingfisher arrived
How could that be an automatic? Currently all KF's are quartz, I didn't even know that a quartz could run slow a few seconds a day.... I feel sorry for you charlesdidi, now that you have had the KF in your hands, it's a bummer that you had to return it!! Yes, I'm really upset and disappointed. Wors...

Re: My Kingfisher arrived
Yes, I was also gobsmacked when my Kingfisher arrived last week. Unfortunately it is running 4 seconds a day slow. I've returned it.

Re: Kingfisher quartz
I thought forum members who have ordered this watch should know the results of a phone conversation I have had with the CW Call Centre. After CW not replying to 2 of my Emails, I rang up and was told that the call centre had just received an Email from Christopher to say that the watches being held ...

Re: Kingfisher quartz
Still being "packed and ready to go" - its been 12 days now since this message appeared on my tracking page and the money appears to have been taken off my credit card on Sept 18th. No replies to my Email. I will ring CW next week, but I'm falling out of love with the company. All I want i...

Re: Positive discussion on WUS
It's a bit like "the cheque's in the post". I'm actually getting quite annoyed. I used to have a mail order business and frankly it was most certainly run better than CW's business is at present. The customer always came first and if there was a problem, they got a personal communication e...

Re: Positive discussion on WUS
I haven't heard from Chris also, he is probably abroad or something. I guess we must be patient some more... :jump: One does not abandon one's business! Where's Wera? If he's abroad, my guess is that there are production difficulties on the Kingfisher and he's trying to sort it out. He may well be ...

Re: Positive discussion on WUS
Hmmm, strange, CW normally replies very promptly to requests by mail. I am certain that the KF's will be shipped any moment, but I understand the impatience, hey, I am also waiting for my Kingfisher! I'll check with Chris to see what the status is, hope to let you guys know asap Any news on t...

Nice bit of PR. Must be the quickest bit of heritage in the history of the universe. Still, they say that each individual has his/her own measurement of time.
