Re: C8 Update - 04/19/08
The raven black finish that distinguishes the watches in our Corax collection is courtesy of our state of the art IPK ionic plating process that delivers superb looks and a diamond hard finish. The scientists among you will want to hear about the ion depositions being carried in a vacuum of charged...

Re: For m500dpp... Stowa Marine Original wristshot
Thanks Hans, yes it is big but looks very good. I prefer the hands on the auto (they wont fit the original - I asked!) and I also like the big secnd hand so you can appreciate the smooth mechanical movement. But then the original has that beautiful movement........... Why they have to have the date...

Re: CW's reaction to the Telegraph article
http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/watch.asp?productid=51 but 19.9mm thick is too much for me :) Pfffftttt. For that price I'd rather hire a small Filipino to follow me around with a Flavor Flav like clock handing around his malnourished neck. "Boyeeeeee" And because it's a couple of years wages!

Re: CW's reaction to the Telegraph article
There's just no point going after mugs who only buy a watch because of the name on it. Sod 'em, they'll never be interested in CWL. Mates who've spent tens of thousands of pounds combined on Breitling for Bentleys, Omegas, Rolexes haven't heard of Sinn, Glycine, Stowa etc (proper old quality manufac...

Re: CW's reaction to the Telegraph article
"When you see a Christopher Ward watch you'll either think it's in the pounds 50,000 bracket - and that's why you've never heard of it - or that it's a piece of tat,'' he said. Did I….. I don’t recall that…. My watches Tat…whatever next! :) Yep, when I look at something that's obviously well d...

Well, had the watch getting on 3 weeks now and can't stop looking at it. No idea what the time is, mind.

The longer it takes the more I'm leaning towards getting a Steinhart B-Uhr as well / instead.
Gotta admit though, the Anglicised pilot appeals most.

If we've opened a gateway I hope it's with an 80's Sigourney Weaver but without the devil dogs.

Re: Any C4SKS Peregines out there?
I reckon - as can be seen by the top pic - the excellent design means the watch sits low enough, flush to the wrist so it can 'carry' the height.

Reminds me of the recent Citroen ad where they're saying the car is German for reasons of perception.

Re: Future Releases
Can someone answer me this please, as I genuinely don't know the answer... Why are / Are Swiss watch manufacturing facilities more capable than Japanese? I mean, Japanese automotive and technology firms lead the world in terms of quality and reliability, so why is it different with watches? What is ...
