Mikkei4 wrote: Fri Jan 14, 2022 3:23 pm Has anybody bought any of the dual colour Srixon Q Star Tour Divide golf balls?

Seems a friend of mine has just bought a box of them so I’m nabbing a sleeve to try them out …..putting practice only though!

Re: The Golf Topic

If you used a golf ball line marker such as this https://www.clubhousegolf.co.uk/acatalog/GrooveFix-LineFix-360-Ball-Line-Marker-Blue.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA24SPBhB0EiwAjBgkhnKxICYWah_Cy3oaxfLbwd5bn5Fgj8ZYIv1CtatZ6BkpiS1qcxyjqxoCQQ8QAvD_BwE couldn’t you just mark around the ball with a bright colour and...

Re: The Golf Topic

Oh…balls lost per season. Don’t like to think. Let’s just say somewhere between more than I would like and gazillions 😁 I seem to lose an inordinate amount pointlessly. For instance I was practicing chipping a while ago and one ball ran just off the green…and I mean maybe a foot…into some not very l...

Re: The Golf Topic

Haven’t managed to get out since about 16th December due to weather, work and life in general. Didn’t even get to the driving range until a Wednesday this week. That was an experience! The combination of time away and also a minor injury hasn’t done my swing any good it seems. I managed a short lesso...

Re: Pre-launch Revival Model Exclusive

I had the intention of probably buying a C5 but found that I just didn’t have the urge to do so. The C8, however, was another matter. I owned an original C8 and was quite tempted but he revival watch. However (and this is an issue which stopped me buying CW watches for a while) it has that hideous ho...

Re: Helm watches - thumbs up

I meant to post this up a month or so ago but got distracted and then forgot! Anyhow, seems I added a third Helm to my collection. The Khuraburi. This is another 300m dive watch which is 42mm with 22mm lugs and a Seiko movement (NH38).Another well made watch which again is incredible value for money....

Re: Pre-launch Revival Model Exclusive

I always liked the C5….I think I had 4 or 5 of them in total. I have a vague recollection of paying about what, £150?, back then.

Re: The Golf Topic

@village, I'm possibly not reading your method correctly but what criteria do you use to "decide the line/break" when standing behind the ball as the first action? What happens if the shaft of the putter is not on the aim point line after you've done the plumb bobbing? How do you judge th...

Re: The Golf Topic

Putting is definitely individual. Smoothness of stroke is important as it having a straight club face on impact. I would bet that more people than you realise do not have a straight putter face on impact. Your hands need to be slightly ahead of the club face which makes it level. I am of the opinion...

Re: The Golf Topic

Was the rebuild a direct result of having lessons, or is it something you worked out on the range ? Regards Steve Lessons. My swing had deteriorated and I’d built in some weird actions to compensate. Unless you really know what you are doing then you can’t fix this yourself and definitely end the h...

Re: The Golf Topic

Most satisfying round today. Cold but sunny,it was perfect weather and the course was in superb condition. Having gone off a cliff for no apparent reason earlier this year, and then playing as though using a plank of wood, I have been taking lessons. (End October last year I was playing to 13…as this...

Re: Kickstarter payments

It’s a straightforward credit card charge….I’ve never been hit with any sort of fee for cash or currency charges.

As an aside I’ve backed loads of stuff on Kickstarter and the only one that stiffed me was for £10.

Re: The Golf Topic

Just back from two days away. Two teams of 4 with fourballs the first day and pairs the second day on a course I’ve not played before. Monday was flippin’ wet and today was dry, although very windy. I was very happy with my game. I won both my matches, bagged three nearest the pins and also won the gr...
