C8IPK Problem :(

I've had my C8IPK about 10 days now and have worn it about half that time (I wear my C5SSK under a shirt at work) and I've already noticed the black coating coming off on the outside edge of the bezel (there's about a 5mm area directly under the 6 marker, and a couple of other smaller spots). Has an...

Re: Unworn automatic - how to store?

Thanks guys,

I guess that for a decent mechanical movement a month or so doesn't make much difference. but the consensus seems to be to let it run down, so that's what I'll do.

Cheers.

Unworn automatic - how to store?

I'm going away for a few weeks and won't be taking my C5 automatic with me. What's the best way to leave it whilst I'm away:

a) just leave it to run down and store it with no tension in the mainspring
b) pull the crown out and store it with some tension in the spring
c) it doesn't really matter?

TIA

Re: CWL GMT Dive Watch

Sorry, but I've always assumed that date lenses were for old men with failing eyesight  You make it sound like there is something wrong with being old and having poor eyesight, with God's help it will never happen to you. Sprained mind ? More like strained brain. Nothing...

Re: Any word on the C2?

Has there been any official word from CW about this C2? What are we all relying upon as a source? Why hasn't CW bothered to announce a C2 or have they? It would seem in the interest of sales to do so. I myself am about to spend a considerable amount on an automatic yet I like the look of the Russel...

Re: Questions about the ETA 2824-2

2. Originally the C5 Malvern was only available with the lowest grade 2824-2, and the Aviator had a higher grade 2824-2 with CW-engravings. But I believe this is going to change and in the future the C5 Malverns will have the same higher grade 2824-2 as the Aviator. Any idea when? Because I'll prob...

TimeZone mechanical watch FAQ - Tourbillon is 5.4, but the whole thing is a good read :D
