I don't know enough about inner workings of the movement to tell if there is real risk, but my watch manuals for CWL and Seiko watches both indicated that damage may occur if changing date between 9pm and 3am (21 and 3 o'clock). With both ETA and Seiko 6R15 movements carrying the warning, I suspect...

The lug shape is critical for me on whether the watch will look good on my wrist, If the curve down nicely its no problem but if they're straight its no way. Beyond 44mm it becomes a struggle but certain watches just are that big and if you want to wear them you have to go for it. I have seen a few ...

@ shen lun I can't remember what I was using but google may give you some new alternatives(try bpm counter), it didn't pan out, the sensitivity wasn't good enough. Thats why the professional machines are so expensive.
