Re: Finally!!...Steinhart Ocean 39 Vintage GMT - Gnomon Exclusive

^^^^^^^^^ looks like a dual time version of the Ocean 2. No sign of it on the Steinhart website. Well, I couldn’t find it with a cursory look of their divers. I like the look of it. A bit different and the Ocean 2 range is all their own. I’ve owned two of the previous iteration. The only down side, ...

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread

The new Oris Big Crown ProPilot 41mm with blue/purple dial and lumed numerals is a smidge over £1k, on bracelet, delivered from the Watches of Switzerland group. https://www.mappinandwebb.com/Oris-Big-Crown-ProPilot-41mm-Mens-Watch-01-751-7761-4065+07-8-20-08P/p/17601044 Review source of this lume ...

Very nice. I’ve been looking at the LLD more and more recently. Especially the blue dial version

My one watch candidate for me too today.

You can get it on rubber too :D

Re: Is the Rolex Explorer II 'a' one-watch??

I owned the ref. 216570. And loved it at first but then eventually realised it was just a smidge to big for my wrist. Unfortunately I just don’t like the 16570 as much, despite its better proportions. It’s the little things - I prefer orange to red  And I hear the older Rolex bracelets are far ...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Lovely, Chris! You can definitely see the inspiration for CW’s big blue C9, but the two register IWC just looks sublime. Hi Gary. I think this photo makes the blue look a bit brighter than it is normally. It’s quite a dark blue and almost black in poor light. But I love it. Had it a year now and it...

Re: SOTC Gower March21

Thanks for sharing. I have to say, that Tudor Grantour Date really pops. I'd seen them before but not really given them much attention, your photo makes it stand out rather nicely I think. Might have to go off and have a quick google.

Re: SOTC Iain March 2021

Thanks for sharing. That's an excellent varied collection you have there. All bases covered I reckon. I've considered an IWC "mark" pilots watch a number of times, after seeing one on a colleague's wrist. They can look a bit plain in photos (as a pilot's watch should really. It's meant to ...

Re: incoming Tudor

There's a certain influence there from the big sister (or is it big brother...) but as always, Tudor have added their own more modern spin with the on-trend integrated bracelet. I too will be interested to hear your thoughts. I've considered Tudor's more dressy efforts a few times now but haven't ye...
