Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Maybe on the next FLE best approach would be to again have CW create a few examples but this time with stricter/clearer rules to follow. Then right from the start let the process have it's own forum section and have each example (and appropriate mock-ups) be it's own thread. That would make it easie...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

The next elimination process is going to be interesting. It seems there are small groups that like this... and this... and that. Everyone wants their own FLE to made. I remember a little more unification on nice designs in the past but this is certainly a different approach. I'm like this right now ...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

For what it’s worth I like the numbers on the Dartmouth dial, in fact I like a lot of Franks designs, but it’s not what was voted on in my opinion. I agree with that. He makes some cool designs that are original for CW but we didn't vote for major deviations. Unless CW just outright said "Do whatev...

Re: Delivery timescales

I ordered a new C65 back on the 8th and haven't heard from them since receiving the confirmation email. I don't have enough experience in buying watches to know if this is the norm or not. Well, you know... they are a bit busy writing 'witty' emails and inserting watch descriptions with spy puns. Y...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

The difference with the C60 suggestions is because those suggestions were floated By CW with the costs already calculated. That is why there is a bit more flexibility there. I would recommend that if there are more ideas to get them in. I am closing this thread on Sunday. Kip. Do you know if the va...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Those Dartmouths properly got my attention! I reckon that this is the best so far  ^^^ I agree Neil. It looks fantastic and better than I thought it would when first suggested by Joseph. It also has the added benefit of working well on bracelet or strap. Thanks for the support, guys and, a...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I think you're right, Frank. Aren't the all the 41mms divers using the same C65 case with different movements anyway? I did notice the hybrid Dartmouth but I assumed it would use just the proper bezel if it were made. It makes me wonder if the cases are indeed the same could we simply pick and choos...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

My personal top 3 of the mock-ups posted thus far: Dartmouth 'Vintage' (Cream/Gold/Black/Red) by StrappedUp - This is just beautiful and classy. It really evokes the 1960s for me. It's obviously my pick to win. https://i.ibb.co/hs3btjp/dartmouth-30.jpg C60 'Smoke' (Blue/Black/Yellow) by welshlad - I...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Yeah. I think the both pieces should remain with their respective bezels. Actually must remain - cost-wise. Bezel-less versions are nice but something to be suggested to CW as a main-line watch. Remember: These are small modifications to be made so the FLE is not crazy-expensive.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Those Dartmouths properly got my attention! I’m still looking for something that I don’t have for my big birthday next year. On the list are white/light dial, bronze or an LE. If I could get all three in one that would be amazing! Good work to those on the Tridents, but none of them interest me at ...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Hey Joseph. Currently working on this, but will take a little longer as I'm drawing the dial/markers from nothing due to the colour scheme. Bear with me   Those are really great! Thank you. Looks like an FLE to me; something special. Vintage vibe but not too crazy. I prefer the stain...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I'd like to see a Dartmouth mock-up in the same steel case but a black bezel with cream/silver markers & red pip, cream/silver dial with black minute-markers, gold hands & hours with white lume, and black seconds-hand with red tip. I'd just like a visualization of it so maybe it could be worked on?...
