Re: Heuer Autavia GMT 11630 On Correct Locking Dive Bracelet

Mr Rick should like this. Looks great. Now that you have the bracelet, how long are you going to keep the watch? :) You know what? I REALLY like this one. It's the first watch that's really captured both my imagination and attention since I first met the Sea Dweller back in the 90s. I think this on...

Finally got the correct locking "dive" bracelet for my Autavia GMT sorted. The bracelet was immaculate but the spring bars were all shot and needed replacing, which Duncan @ Genesis Watchmaking kindly took care of for me. I know some prefer leather straps on these and whilst I do love the ...

Re: Watches Of 2012 - If You Thought You Had Problems Read T

I've just finished uploading to my blog galleries and I was horrified to see just how many watches had come and gone in 2012! Scroll past the first two small groups here and see what I mean . EVERY watch in that gallery arrived with me between January 1st 2012 and December 30th 2012. :? If ...

Re: ZENITH

totally agree - I looked at the D800 but it gave me nothing I needed over my current cameras (main one is D3s) - I think that it is fab for those shooting landscapes & studio where file size / detail is high on the priority list - but for me action / low light / etc. are more important... I als...

Re: ZENITH

Shooting in RAW format inevitably involves a little more work on the 'puter  Very true. I shoot exclusively in RAW format, too. That's also the reason I've chosen not to upgrade my D300s to a D800. The files from a D800 are huge and I just don't need that much info in the files for what I use...

Yup. I really enjoy setting up shots and taking them. Can't say the same for the processing part which can get tedious.

you could do it in photoshop (or prob. illustrator) - but a lot of work - love the effect you have got from a simple shot... Alasdair Cheers Alasdair. Yep, you could. There are probably some plugins that would help you do it quicker but I'm not personally keen on digitally created images. Most of t...

Re: ZENITH

How did you get the reflection of the watch under the CD? @ Village, wot tune you hummin then? Helix, the 3 CDs are stacked on a shiny piece of black acrylic that's 30x30cms. I think the shadow there is created because the CDs are partially see-through. It's funny, though: using this lighting setup...
