Re: 2013 Forum LE suggestion
This is sort of a brilliant idea. Single-handed watches are a niche market and I doubt many of us have one. It's a very different watch from CWL's standard offerings with only minimal increase to cost, though I suspect a new dial would be necessary to make such a design work. If we can get some conv...

Re: You snooze, you lose....
CW I feel are at risk of going away from their original philosophy, high quality/ low price. I have written on a few threads about CW and the original reason for starting up. On Ebay now you can get a C5 in gold 2yr old for £105. CW value new £350. When I first bough a C5 it was £195 five years ago...

Re: Where the C5 automatic Galvanic gone?
I know they're phasing out the C5 case for a slightly larger version to be released around September. (If I'm wrong, someone should correct me :D ) They're probably taking watches off the website as they sell out until the new models' pictures are released. Unfortunately, it seems that it won't be i...

That, sir, is an excellent piece. And packaging of that quality/practicality is far less superficial than I expected! Totally understandable for it to make the final difference.

Re: New C5 Malvern Pix?
Chris fully understands the power of the internet. That is why he will not release drawings/photos until he knows others cannot react until his release dates. He will release the photos when he is comfortable..and traditionally we get the first look. His competition is well aware of that fact I am ...

Re: Chr.WARD web advertising
Odd--no CWL ads for me, though I've had a bunch for this one "swiss" brand I'd never heard of.
Who knows, they might be quality. But if I click, then they'll have won!

The accuracy challenge is a great read--lots of laughs too. Thanks for linking.Kip wrote:We also had a CWL Accuracy Challenge last September. See here.

Re: 2013 Forum LE suggestion
So, the "budget" version would simply be the new C10, re-faced as a marine deck variant with white (Roman) face and blued hands, instead of the standard aviator version. More expensive options would be possible by upping the specifications for various parts of the design but I really thin...

I like it but wanted to hear your views...Gucci seen as a bit of a hairdressers watch? Not sure how fashion-conscious you may or may not be, given the hairdresser comment, but maybe another way to look at the watch would be how well it goes with your lifestyle/general fashion sense. For instance, I...

What does that make someone like Ian Walsh? http://www.iwiwatches.com/watches.htm Interesting--hadn't heard of IWI. Seems worth a look. Like Kip said, though, it seems that CWL is moving towards more independence. I don't mind that they're doing so gradually--taking on too much can seriously damage...

Re: A Guide To Photographing Watches
Great shot, downer! I've never seen one of these in person, so I'm not sure if the dial is as dark as it seems in the picture (relative to the bezel). If you're looking for constructive criticism, a brighter shot for the dial might help--maybe it's a matter of light angle, to capture the texture? St...

Not for me, either--there's something about how the inner dial is recessed that seems a bit off. Many of their other watches seem quite nice, though.

Re: To really be a watch company, you need to make your own
If anyone really wants a watch with an in-house movement, I'll trade you my $55 Seiko 5 straight across for your C60. I'd even be willing to trade for a C5 (auto--not quartz--a guy has to have some standards). :D A Seiko 5 has always been on my list, but have never gotten around to actually acquiri...
