Re: Non CW of the Day

I think the angularity of a squared off case compliments the angularity of the Roman numerals. Roman numerals on a round watch have a bit of the “square peg in a round hole” thing going on. Respectfully Andrew, I must disagree... [emoji3526] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201127/bb54d131af58af7...

The cult of Seiko

For myself, I prefer either acrylic or sapphire. Total opposites to be truthful, but mineral crystal is in the “no man’s land” in the middle for me, even though I do have a few in my watch boxes. Edit: sorry, I’m digressing from the thread... Back on theme, Seiko automatics have legendary longevity ...

Re: C65 Trident automatic keeps stopping

I know what you mean, and that did cross my mind. But even on a day when I take the dog out for a couple of walks, it still stops. That can't be right, can it? You don’t by any chance hold the leash with the hand that wears the watch? One could speculate that there’d be fairly minimal movement of t...

Thanks Lance. I like all of the Planet Oceans, but I must admit I like the thickness, or lack thereof, of the earlier models. They just sit nicely on my wrist...

Re: The cult of Seiko

I’ve owned many, many Seikos over the years; it was my go to brand when I only owned one watch at a time (probably over 2 decades ago now). Of the many dozens I’ve owned, I still have maybe a dozen or so in my collection. They are generally speaking, bulletproof, with a consistency of design (within...

Yet another Omega lands...

Something that had been missing from my Omega (sub)collection for a couple of years was a Planet Ocean. I had a variety of other Omegas, admittedly Speedmasters abounded, but I sold my last Planet Ocean (a 42mm titanium 8500 model) and have been bereft of a PO since. I broke the drought a couple of ...
