FIRST LOOK AT THE NEW TISSOT HERITAGE 1973 CHRONOGRAPH

I like that a lot. It has strong hints of the MkII Speedy about it, but of course Tissot and Omega were very closely aligned in the seventies, so that makes sense. The colourway is good - and the black hands with white lume inserts make it readable whether the hands are over the panda subdials or on...

Re: Happy Birthday Lindsey

Belated birthday wishes Lindsey, hope you are improving and wishing you all the best for both the birthday and your recovery. Sounds like a case of slow and steady wins the race, even if there are some backward turns along the way. All the best!

Is it because the 40mm racing models are chunky little buggers for all of their fairly modest diameter?

I like it Kari, but I’m at a loss as to why a two handed watch has chronograph pushers. Is it hiding a “smart” secret behind that innocuous face? ;)

Re: New strap for the PAM 512

Looks good Bjorn. Most Panerais, the baby 512 & 620 definitely included look great on pretty much any strap. I’ve had my 620 on a couple of different ones, but the alligator (on Bader) is probably my strap of choice...

Re: Giugario Glass, I see...

Well done Nigel, I know they’re pretty damned hard to get hold of. A friend of mine has one and he had the domed hardlex crystal replaced with a flat sapphire, which, while scratch resistant, doesn’t quite fit the organic look as well... And because I absolutely love these watches but also just beca...

Yes Gary, she is, otherwise she would've been flipped. She's surprisingly tolerant, doesn't mind what I buy, or how much it costs as long as we can pay the bills. I buy watches, she buys yarn for knitting. Bloody hell, does my wife have a doppelgänger half way across the world marri...

The C65 bracelet has the same ratcheting micro-adjust system that the C60 and C7 bracelets use.

Re: Crown Inquiry

Hi Callum, welcome to the forum. Generally speaking, you should always advance the hands clockwise, regardless of the fact that to do so may require turning the crown in the opposite direction to winding. Of course, somewhat paradoxically, it is also recommended (by the manufacturers) to adjust the ...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Been wearing this Farer for the last few days while travelling. I brought it, a pastel blue Seaforth and a C7 along with me, but it has grabbed the lions share of wear so far. Very impressed with it... http://i.imgur.com/64EQQiq.jpg Hi Gary, was that one of the OEM strap choices you have it on? I’m...

I was born in 1957... You old bugger you.... And here was me thinking I was on the “upper slopes” of the forum’s age bell curve. [emoji6][emoji16] Old bloke ramblings or rumblings aside, I tend to agree - oh my how some things have remained largely unchanged, yet are perceived so differently these ...
