Re: New C1 Moonglow in Celestial Blue

Does anyone have experience with charging lume? I used my phone torch to try and get it to store light, I have wore it the last 3 days to try and keep it exposed to light. But still not having any success. Are there secret tips to get the lume activated? I'm not sure if the super luminova materials ...

Honestly I got that FC very cheap I think $1800 aud. It's actually rrp is $4k
But the value of them when you get them on sale is hard to beat.

Re: SOTC - Maverick_John April 2025

Now that’s a cool collection Thanks really only started getting into it around 8 or so years ago. I've offloaded a few and as mentioned the next ones to go are the seikos. So glad you got the Moonphase to add to a lovely collection! Thanks heaps. I'm also glad. It's my most casual watch a...

Astounding collection.
I'd say there's too many similarities in the "romega" section.
I like having variety, and in that collection it just seems too similar but respect that every person likes things different.
My favourite is actually the Omega Aqua Terra day date. Very classy watch

Re: SOTC - Maverick_John

A nice varied collection. Particularly like the longines [emoji106] Sent from my REA-NX9 using Tapatalk I'm getting a new watch winder this week and I'll update the photos with close ups of each watch but that Longines is one of my faves If I have to rank my collection 1 - GS 2 - FC 3 - Longines 4 ...

H'ray! New moon is a great time for this one to arrive. Hope you enjoy it. Now pull up a chair 8)
Hahaha you can say that again. Chairs pulled and enjoying the beauty of this watch. It's my most fun piece as typically buy dressier watches.

Re: Smelling the flowers?

Appreciate where you are coming from with this post but I think suggestions for a design are a little different than being negative towards a watch. It's all made with good intent and not with the intention to dismiss the product. Of course people are mentioning what makes the watch ideal or perfect...

Re: USA Tariffs - How CW will handle.

Great tip Guy. I'll see how that fares as we are normally charged only the 10% gst. (Added at checkout) Which is fine, it's just the spike in retail value. But the dollar hasn't actually fluctuated to affect the price so not sure. It's currently 48.5 pence per aud, 3 months ago it was around 50, so ...

Re: USA Tariffs - How CW will handle.

I feel like this might end up affecting all other sales to compensate for the potential loss of sales from the US. Would the price go up to mitigate losses from the US for the rest of the world? So prices went up on AU store by about 10% as well.. interesting as the tariffs shouldn't have affected ...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion

The more I look at the loco the more I like it...even the name sits well with me. I've never seen myself as the type to be 'ignited' by haute horology; I thought my tastes were more traditional, particularly more tool watch. But this feels like watchmaking for the 21st century, something to shake u...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion

@Maverick_John If I may… I seem to recall from the documentary that the original designs were quite complicated and an executive “less is more” decision was taken to pare back and simplify. Also, I’m no structural engineer, but you must have some kind of bridge to keep the balance wheel securely in...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion

I have to admit that, despite not being personally keen and there not being a universally positive reaction, I’m a little surprised that (if I understand the pre-order date appearing on the website correctly) the initial batch of 750 hasn’t moved on the first day. I thought off the heels of the Bel...

Can't blame you the allure of v2 bel canto in blue is magnetic.
Now that I've seen the loco it makes the appeal of buying the bel canto even stronger
