I'd never heard of Straton, but your post sent me down a rabbit hole of investigation and now I have yet another watch to put on my list!
I'm really tempted by the VDC MKII https://www.stratonwc.com/collections/f ... 8264214281

Re: C700 on Kevlar
Hmm, the kevlar theory is good, but the strap look a bit "woollen" for my taste. I'd prefer to see something that either matches the cross weaving on the dial or contrasts - maybe subtle black on black vertical stripes down the length of the strap. Still, as long as you like it, who cares ...

Re: First visit to Park Street
Having lived in and around Maidenhead for 15 years now, I find it ridiculous that I haven't visited the shop - despite owning three of the watches.

A BBC podcast talking about the rise of watchmakers in the UK.
It's the most expensive podcast I've ever listened to!

Re: C60 Trident MK II?
I have no knowledge on the subject of a new model, but I'd like to see it. There's something about the bezel to face ratio that just strikes me as wrong with the current design.

Re: A Possible Solution?
Isn't the whole CW ethos based around quality at an affordable price? I'm pretty sure in the BBC interview that introduced me to the brand that this is what what stated. When I see something in the £1500 range I feel confident that I am getting good value for money from a brand I can trust rather th...

Just a quick update for you android tablet users... the Tapatalk app has been update to v4, renamed to 'Community Reader by Tapatalk 4' and much improved... yes it costs, but if you use other forums too (I'm a big fan of XDA) it's well worth it.

Re: Choosing a C60 bezel color...
It depends what other colour watches you have. I have plenty of black and silver watches, so for me the orange would be a obvious choice, especially with black leather strap and orange stitching...

Replace back on C8 Pilot MkII-U-2?
Hi,
I have a C8 Pilot MkII-U-2, and the back case only has a small window. Now I know this was done for aesthetic purposes, but I'm a showoff and would like to have a full glass back. Do CW have an option (maybe from another model) that would fit?
Thanks
Adfrad

I have this watch, and it's pretty big even on my manly wrist I'd swap it if I were you.
