Re: screw on case backs

Given its the back of the watch and not seen, surely a screw down back with its better seal would be better than the screws in type The decorative aspect just doesn't seem too important whilst better functionality of improved water resistance would be desirable... It just seems odd to me (but maybe...

Re: How long to fulfill and ship orders to the US, normally?

I'm in Australia and I've ordered three watches from CWL in the past month or so. The first two were here in 8 days and the second in 7 days.

Re: screw on case backs

In general, water resistance in screw down case backs is better than those with screws in the case back. Most of the time, screws in the case back are for decorative purposes only - i.e. they do not give an improved seal. This is also true in CWL - the divers watches have cases that screw in rather ...

+2. Maybe if the colours were washed out / faded, there might be some chance for them. But with them being that vibrant, I don't think it works.

I like the new Maltise ladies watches though. A bit Franck Muller, but still nice.

Re: Fashion Victims?

Yoda, nearly all my Swiss mech watches have external coatings. Even the most battered, an Eterna Airforce, has escaped crystal scratches and the A/R is what maintains the class in its appearance for me. As for prior knowledge, I beg respectfully to differ by around 180 degrees. I held back on a cou...

Re: My Best Watch

Nice watch. Always been an admirer of the Aqua Terra, very versatile and well built watch. Which movement does yours have, the 2500 or 8500?

Re: Anyone bought anything nice in the Sale yet?

Was anyone a little bit tempted to swap boxes with the new ones they got the missus's W7 in? Nah!! Don't wear the box...... You see, this is typical of all of the new watch designs getting bigger all the time. I used to be able to wear the old box on my wrist perfectly, but these new ones ar...

Re: Fashion Victims?

The fact is CWL have to release more watches to keep people buying. You must rely on repeat business when the watches are so niche. By now, most of us that want a particular watch from CWL have got it, so in order for us (not to mind the general public) to keep buying, it has to mean new designs. I ...

Re: New SINN

CFK-OB, Nice watch, and great photos! I saw from your post on Timezone that you went to the Sinn AD for the purchase. What was your impression of the other Sinn watch models after getting to see them in person? My next purchase is going in circles between the 556, 756, and 856. The 556 has a classi...

Re: New SINN

Nice watch...i must admit that more and more lately i have been looking at Sinn. It's always good when you need a certain type of watch and, following a hunt, find just what you need....very satisfying! Thanks. It has taken me so long to find this one. Something was always wrong, most of the time it ...

Re: New SINN

Nice pics paw. I looked at the bracelet as well, but I find that I just don't wear any of my other watches on bracelets, I always change them out for leather or rubber, so I decided I may as well save a bit of money and go for the rubber from day one. How long have you had yours? It certainly looks ...
