I have one and echoing comments, it was VERY stiff. To break it in, I rolled both sides into a very tight roll (think Cinnamon bun style), held tight with an elastic band on each roll and then dropped into a bowl with very warm water (just short of boiling). Left it overnight and unrolled to air dry...

IMO, CW will never adopt a cyclops on any of their watches (a theme I fully embrace). The R company has that bailiwick locked up !

Perhaps it’s driven by wrist size? No flappy issues on my CW Hybrid or Tropic straps, however I have larger wrists
