What's with all the thread resurrections this afternoon?
The forum has become a time machine.
I think the other day @iain created a rip in the space/time vortex

Re: Non CW of the Day

Been a DSOTM week this week. Black Black today. Legibility is surprisingly good except the date can be a bit tricky.

Re: Mr. Jones collaboration

Maybe the dial design will be a frenzied mob circling the summer sale. With the teased jump hour mechanism in the latest copy of Loupe actually being a jump second, representing the frequency with which CS receives an email from someone asking where their order is.

@iain I can only repeat what others have said above - sorry to hear the sad news and hope you have as much time together as possible. Zeppelin in his bow tie is a wonderful picture.

Re: Design language, house styles, shifting sands....

People tend to take wrist shots too close to the camera and get a magnified effect due to the lenses. To get a true photo the camera should be held outside of the focus length and cropped in. For example the main lens on my iPhone 13 Pro is 1.5 feet if I remember. It varies by manufacturer so it pa...

Re: Mr. Jones collaboration

Anyone else completely smitten with the Mr. Jones moon phase described in the latest Loupe? I’ll be really curious to see this! I love the creativity and whimsy in Mr. Jones watches. I'm a huge fan of the designs of the Mr. Jones watches as well Drew. Heading to their stand in NYC in October I was ...

Re: Design language, house styles, shifting sands....

tikkathree thanks for the very interesting post - still considering myself a newcomer I'm always fascinated to see some earlier models and the design cues that are carried through to today's releases. That's a lovely Trident and the colors aren't too far off the new models in places either. The pos...

Re: C65 Dune Aeolian - Shifting Sands

This is a big YES from me in terms of the updates CW have made. I must say that the previous iterations did not catch my eye at all; I would tend to just scroll on by. But the new wave pattern and color combinations are a real winner in my book. My personal preference is that, while I very much like...

Re: Omega Speedmaster under a microscope - Slow motion close-ups...

I learnt two things today:

1. An iPhone camera is not as good as thousands of pounds’ worth of photographic video equipment; and
2. Nevertheless it’s quite fascinating to use the zoom to look at the back of one’s watch.
