Re: Baltic Watches - a Showroom Visit #2

Love the semi-precious stone dials and the fact each dial is unique. The Lapis Lazuli is stunning, the colour and reflective metals in it really change depending on the light and angle it is viewed.

Re: A good Chinese watch?

Quote from Mike France, CW CEO in an interview with Esquire published July 1st 2024: "What about ‘Made in China’? Many things that are the best in the world these days are Chinese made. Our cases come from China. We proudly tell people that. I’m asking because there’s some great Chinese watch b...

Re: A good Chinese watch?

Dial looks a bit rough to me. Do you have better pics? In your top three. What are the other two? I think that in time excellent original watches will be produced there. From what I have read there do seem to be rather too many dodgy watches produced at the moment, albeit I have no idea why anyone ...

San Martin SN0129 GMT. Powered by Seiko NH34GMT movement, Semi precious stone Lapis Lazuli dial, case polish and finish amongst the best of any brand, case design a bit Grand Seiko (which is a good thing in my books because Grand Seiko is my favourite watch brand) bracelet links held together with s...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

I treated myself to this ZZR1400 at the beginning of the year, I wanted one from the first time I set eyes on one when they first came out. It’s a great chassis and engine but yeah, maybe a bit sporty… I have a couple of friends with GTR1400’s, one of which has done well over 100k miles. They seem ...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

I treated myself to this ZZR1400 at the beginning of the year, I wanted one from the first time I set eyes on one when they first came out. Unfortunately I think I left it 10 years too late as my old bones do not appreciate the riding position and I was glad to get off after a 40 mile ride today. It...

Re: C60 Trident Lumiere

Does anyone else reckon in around 3-4 years time the entire CW range will be priced right beneath Omega and Tudor? It looks like this is what CW are aiming for. It would be interesting to make a graph of the average price of CW's watches since the company's start up, prices seem to be shooting up a...

Re: Chinese deliveries are too quick.

I have just used AliExpress for the first time and purchased my first watch from China. The VFM of the watch and efficient delivery are incredible. I was updated of the watch's progress at every step, including customs. Six days from my order, to leaving the warehouse in China, to being delivered to...

Are watches a danger to your health and safety?

I have just been reading about Sir Ben Ainslie being relieved of his Rolex at knifepoint in Barcelona. I also recently read a comment by James Dyson that London is too dangerous to wear an expensive watch in, after he witnessed someone get murdered for their Rolex outside his London office. Phone an...

Re: CW v Rolex

The criteria set for the poll is a bit like asking, is black: black and is white: white? The value of Rolex (and all 'premium' brands) and CW watches are based on the perception instilled in people by clever marketing and group think mostly. Rolex aren't marketed for, or aimed at people looking for ...

Re: Faulty new C60 Trident

I have no problems with CW. I have bought a few watches, sent some back, and not had a problem. I did buy a reduced, but new cordovan strap, which didn't look new, and they just said return it, and refunded me. Maybe I'll just touch this wooden table. ;D The majority of people are happy with their ...

Re: Faulty new C60 Trident

Whilst not with the same amount of reviews, have a look at Rolex, Omega or Tudor for balance. Flaky customer service takes the edge of any purchase and can (has) result in loss of a sale. Any luxury goods should have a matching customer service, although not all companies see things that way. Breit...

Re: Faulty new C60 Trident

This thread was disturbing to read. My first Bremont was a Supermarine S300 and after a two days of having received it, it was clear that the auto winding feature wasn’t working. Luckily I had bought it from an AD and could take it back. They initially thought I didn’t know how to wind the watch et...

Re: Faulty new C60 Trident

That doesn't look heavily worn at all. I'd ask CW for photos of the alleged wear and crown damage. I am not worried about the watch now, I have received my refund which was my main concern. I posted this up as a warning to future buyers to be aware CW have staff who are capable of poor customer com...

Re: Faulty new C60 Trident

Heavily worn? It's curious. A heavily worn watch would surely have a heavily scratched case, and be readily identified as such. .the photo in the first post didn't look like a damaged watch. I must say the NN watches I have received from CW on occasion have been indistinguishable from new with no m...
