Re: New Bespoke LE proposal: C63 Adventure
... Roxy Music who are probably still receiving royalty payments for their iconic Avalon LP and track. You reference is just making me feel old...though cool because I know and have listened to the reference LP on vinyl when new. I was lucky enough to get WLIR in Manhattan/NYC while gowning up. In ...

Re: New Bespoke LE proposal: C63 Adventure
...I think something like "Avalon" would have continued the feel of "Atlantis" maybe... Toyota may not be happy about that choice even if the Avalon has been discontinued. I'm not entirely sure that a place name of ancient legend, could ever be claimed as owned in any fashion, a...

Re: New Bespoke LE proposal: C63 Adventure
No-Date movement? Whilst CW generally has the date position engineered out to produce a true 'no date' movement, this watch as it is based on the C63 Sealander that has a date, has a ghost date position on the crown; as stated in the original / initial post. I pointed it out to you that it was in t...

Re: New C60 Sapphire Edge
I suspect the lumed strap will be a ‘love it or hate it’ feature. Totally unnecessary but it does look pretty cool. I’m leaning towards the “hate it,” at the moment. It seems gimmicky. And I’m not so sure about the watch as a whole, just not to my tastes. I concur. Don't love it. It all seems gimmi...

Re: C1000 Typhoon CE - black or tan strap?
@Jimnotjames
It could be the "Oils, waxes, and lacquers..."
I am that sensitive to almost anything (but not sure you are). I'll often by a leather strap with a non-leather backing to make sure I do not get irritated.

Re: Unannounced Clearance sale?
Like others I really liked the look of the Dagger silver although didn’t mind it being a bit understated.... I’ve not struggled with legibility. I like that it is understated but unfortunately my 50+ year old eyes have trouble seeing the dial, hands, and indices. The GMT version is even nicer and s...

Re: C1000 Typhoon CE - black or tan strap?
Then I found out the hard way that I'm allergic to something in or on the strap I have very sensitive skin and have found that most less expensive straps are "chrome tanned" which uses chemicals and irritate my skin. I would suggest you try and find, unfortunately usually more expensive, ...

Re: Unannounced Clearance sale?
The watch seemed even more monochrome in person. The indices were readable but it wasn’t that easy to read . Exactly, the Dagger looks great in pictures but the reality of it does not work (for me). I hope they make the Celest (Aventurine) dial in 39mm because that dark interesting dial, silver ind...

Why put a 12 hour bezel on a Diver?Timepiece.Pete wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 10:05 pm I've been thinking a lot about the Lumiere. I'd really like it with a 12hr bezel instead of a 60min dive bezel.

Re: Extending the Lumiere range.... in my dreams
Oh you chaps.... I admire your ability to hold a CW and look so high  I hadn't thought of taking parts of the Lumiere and transplanting them elsewhere. Technically we were discussing the Twelve... My mind wondered to the features and dial of the twelve and how it would look incredible in a rec...
