Re: I'm scared to buy this watch......

With such a nice story behind wanting a moonphase watch, I’d definitely get one. If this will inspire you, I cashed in and went for the Snow Leopard. All but one of my watches has a black dial. I recently got a white dial and realise I would get along with another for sure. I thought of an Atoll but...

Re: C63 Snow Leopard in stock.

Seriously tempted though a bit wary of the movement and servicing in the distant future, especially with Bremont’s ongoing struggles to survive.

Any comments on this?

Dixie Dean Chronometer

There’s a new limited release watch available. It’s a chronometer called the “Dixie Dean”.

It used a Sellita SW510 BH movement.

£2365 RRP.

Re: Got the "solar powered" itch again.

You can download the A060 manual from Citizen's website... But, since I have the blue dial version and, IIRC, position 1 is a 1 hour jump function like a traveller GMT. You can roll the hour hand forward or backwards in 1 hour increments. Thanks for this tip. I already had memory that it wasn’t dif...

Re: Are CW crown tubes repairable, or integrated into the case?

Welcome to the group and as a Sealander fan, I think you’ve made a great choice. Are you going for the GMT version? Can’t say for sure although, considering their design approach/decisions to maximise affordability without compromising quality, I doubt the threading is replaceable. With that said, I...

Re: IWC

I think the XX looks better. I much prefer the bracelet and think the changes to the dial, though small are a significant improvement. The only downside for me is the increased thickness, otherwise it’s a slam dunk to my eye.

Re: New Bremont logo?

I think it's clear that the ambition to bring large scale watch manufacturing back to Britain has turned out to be unachievable or unsustainable. Good luck to all involved. Nick English now has co-owner of the YardoLed Pen Company on his Insta and Linkedin profile and I'll follow that and Bremont w...

Re: Got the "solar powered" itch again.

I’ve had this for years, still can’t set the time on it :D I understand. One of my Citizen Ecos has a perpetual calendar function. Had to watch a youtube video on how to set it some months ago. Now that it’s daylight savings, I’m not sure how to set the hour forward. I’ll get to it eventually. watc...

The half-link rkovars sent me arrived a day ago, and I just installed it. It worked like a charm! The micro-adjust is suddenly useful and I can wear my dartmouth comfortably I am glad to have found this forum, and will be sure to pass on the kind gesture in the future! I had given up hope for you. ...

Re: New Bremont logo?

An interesting take on Bremont by another British brand... https://www.marloewatchcompany.com/blogs/news/what-is-the-future-of-british-made-watches Thanks. Makes a lot of sense. It would take massive amounts of promotion to get Bremont going. Not many are willing to spend thousands on an anonymous ...

Re: New Bremont logo?

To not listen to potential buyers on why they didn't buy is poor business. It certainly isn't worthless to understand why buying decisions are not being made. This trajectory will take them nowhere, which is bland branding with poor aesthetics to try and grab some market share in an ever more compe...

Re: New Bremont logo?

All the best to Bremont. I’m a fan and can understand their need to change if they were running at a loss. A more conservative, ie, ‘mainstream’ approach in design that is more cost effective would be the inevitable next step. I guess they are thinking their Trip-Tik case design as well as chronomet...

Re: New Bremont logo?

A logo has to be very seriously considered and not one that will work well with experimentation with ‘trial and errors’ on production runs. CW, I think, had all the backlash and complaining coming.
