Re: Sample Sale 2025

It was a great event. All 350+ watches laid out across 3 or 4 tables. It was lovely to see so many in the flesh all at the same time. There seemed to be most of the core ranges in most colours and on a mix of bracelet / leather / rubber. Someone just ahead of me grabbed the one and only Red One Bel ...

Re: Farer Chrono Sport - Moritz Green

That 6 overlapping with where the 6 on the subdial should be is really neat. Great attention to detail. Farer really are great at making original watches.

Re: CW DISPLAY STOCK SALE 22/3/25 APPT REQD

Has anyone been to one of these before? I booked on when I saw the email and then realised I have the pleasure of looking after my two kids this weekend (my wife is away). Whilst I'm sure the promise of some ice cream after the appointment would mean they would be ok to be dragged along, I suspect t...

Re: Here we go.....

I’m saving to add a BC to the collection. This throws a potential spanner in the works, but I suspect the price will be beyond the BC and hence a bit of a stretch.

Re: Moonphase Mission to Maidenhead

Just got back from British Watchmakers Day. Another really enjoyable day. The Mission to Maidenhead looked lovely in the flesh, but just not for me. Other CW highlights from my perspective: - the new Sapphire Edge looked great but thankfully (for my wallet) was too big for my wrist - I tried a Lumie...

There are better looking skeletonised Sellita movements that could look great behind the blue sapphire (and without the date wheel too)

That’s really lovely Iain. Doesn’t look too big at all based on that photo. Enjoy!

Re: New C60 Sapphire Edge

Just noticed the screws. They’re much less prominent than the anthropocene. Helped by the colour I expect, and the fact there are only two of them.

As an aside I have been fortunate to have met two of the astronauts who walked on the moon. One was James Irwin (Apollo 15) a long time ago when I was at secondary school and the other was Charlie Duke (Apollo 16 and CapCom for the Apollo 11 moon landing). c790e703-9621-4f94-99e8-1d853d017f36.jpeg ...

Re: New C60 Sapphire Edge

Very nice. I think I would have preferred a no date and a skeletonised movement.

Would like to see in the flesh though.
