Re: Non CW of the Day

IMG_0810.JPG Let me know if & when you want to let this baby go.. 8) 'Fraid this one's a keeper. As far as I know this Edition watch was only produced for a couple of years from 2010 and they're getting rare now - the last one which sold in the UK was back in Feb of this year. The larger 44mm d...

From my (extremely limited!) understanding thats not a problem with the movement, rather the stem to case fitting?

I'm a bit under the weather and absolutely floored by a nasty cold, but the Willard is doing it's best to keep me perked up
Sorry to hear that mate, lot of it about at the moment. A hot toddy with a nip of whiskey and a spoon of honey when you go to bed and tomorrow you'll be right :D

Re: Sycamore Gap

I was particularly sad to learn about this. For many years in the '90's and early 2000's I worked for the National Trust in Northumberland and must have taken hundreds of photographs of Milecastle 39, Turret 38 and Sycamore Gap along Hadrian's Wall.

Re: “Monk Mode” - limiting social media.

This has to be one of the daftest articles I’ve seen recently. Apparently people are now using an app to control and limit the amount of time they spend on social media. They can set the controls themselves. This is not for kids, it’s for adults. Thanks for this Steve. What have we come to? 'If you...

Re: CW watches getting smaller and smaller

Is it only me or does CW keep making smaller and smaller watches to my disappointment. I really love their value and quality, but man...<=42mm watches just look too small. Its probably my personal preference and size of my wrist, but less and less options these days and it feels bad. Horses for cou...

Re: Should crowns make a pop?

Are we talking the screw-down function here? I have the Sealander 36mm and the crown is very smooth, no popping, clicking or any other recognisable engineering manifestation. It unscrews, I feel the threads disengage, give it the recommended minimum 27 turns from stopped - and add some more just for...

Re: CW beaten by Seiko? Vote now to help

Coming from someone who currently has the Dune GMT, has handled a few Alpinists and also owns a Seiko Laurel Alpinist re-interpretation, I can say hand on heart that the Seiko is nowhere near the watch that the Dune is. I'm a big Seiko fan as well as CW . . . . the Seiko is a decent watch at its pr...

Re: I was hacked

An absolutely horrendous story and I'm so sorry for you Kip. I got hacked via Facebook while on holiday in Belgium in 2018 and the only device I had with me was an iPad I bought in 2007 with 3G. We were staying in a B&B with terrible wifi connection so trying to change all my passwords nearly ca...
