Re: Domestic Kitchen Wall Clock

Made from an old pallet by my mate Riccy as a 'thank you' for looking after his dog for a week when he went on holiday. Strange thing is the secondhand is extremely smooth as though its a 28,800 mechanical movement but its a cheap-as-chips quartz from eBay. .IMG_1642.JPG I like this style - My wife...

Re: C8 Pilot Revival Clean Up

That was grim! I am not convinced that the debris has very much to do with dead skin and hair from the previous owner. More likely the watch got into that state from picking up stuff whilst the previous owner worked. Carpet fitter perhaps? Neil Carpet fitter? Nah, very hairy Gorilla more like...

The Elnix was the last of a series of four EB (Electronic Balance) models from Seiko launched in 1969 and the rarest. The previous model EL330 sold well i...

Re: Experience of the eBay Authentication Service

Be warned - this is the true nature of the Beast "eBay has agreed to pay a $3m (£2.36m) fine to resolve harassment charges against bloggers critical of the company. Executives at eBay sent live spiders and cockroaches to Ina and David Steiner, according to court papers. The couple were targeted...

Re: What do you do with a new watch?

I wear it - this has been on my wrist since I bought it. But then, it is my grail watch and I can't see it being displaced because IMHO nothing else comes near :D

Re: Gower8484 - Jan 24

Grand Seiko. If you've never worn a Grand Seiko I highly recommend you do. The finishing of the case, dial, indices and hands are out of this world. I constantly find myself staring at my wrist when I'm wearing this. The shine and reflection from it gets a lot of comments. The sweep of the spring d...
