Re: New C1 Moonglow in Celestial Blue

Very nice looking piece indeed. I think the dial colour really suits the design.

Omega Speedmaster under a microscope - Slow motion close-ups...

I find this sort of geekery absolutely fascinating, I love the way"precision" machinery wobbles about 😂

Re: January Sale - 2025

Just had a scroll through. Could be tempted by a blue dune, if the price drops a bit more. Otherwise, wallet seems safe for now!

Re: Favourite complication

Here's a shout out for the humble power reserve. It's really a friendly and interesting complication to have. It's great to see if an idle recreational life style can maintain full power. I think not, personally. :D I'm with you in this one. For my relatively variable levels of activity and often s...

Re: New C1 37mm Moonphase

I mentioned it before - Tourby do a range of gemstone watches, including Aventurine , which is close to the Venezianico design, but a lot more expensive: at least 4000 Euros. Damn that`s 8 times the price. Pretty expensive I guess part of the reason the Tourby is so expensive is because the Aventur...

Re: Non CW of the Day

I was intrigued by the consistently well regarded Wise casework and wanted to see if it was as good as the reviews imply. Also, didn't have a pilot style watch in the collection, so this arrived today, Wise Flyboy Type B. The casework polishing is indeed immaculate, as are all the other details. I p...

Re: CW as a One Brand Collection

I don't think it would be a good move to have a one make collection. Particularly not a brand that allows no third party parts or servicing. The thought of being beholden to that brand for all future servicing isn't great either.

Re: Singapore on the horology map, Vario gets nod

I've dealt with Vario, superb service and products and I'm sure I'll be buying more of their watches soon. I was sorry I wasn't able to get to Birmingham watch fair to meet Ivan in person. Being a small business, the service has that personal touch that companies lose when they scale. I value this l...

Re: The BMF SH21 saga continues...

A further update on the BMF fiasco: A very quick turnaround by CW - excellent Auto winding seems to be working well - excellent So called chronometer has lost 6 seconds in The first full day of wearing - far from excellent. Where do I go from here? Surely CW QC must put a watch on the test bench ti...

Re: The BMF SH21 saga continues...

I vote return and be done with it. Let’s say it’s “fixed” this time. Will be run well in a year? It seems that they can’t get it right and this is the sort of stuff that led me to sell every single CW I had - down to a nice fat zero now. My trust is pretty much gone as far as their QC goes. I'll be...

Re: The BMF SH21 saga continues...

. . . . . I still maintain that no test was done prior to sending, . . . . . I'm confident that CW will have tested it, although I have no evidence one way or the other. Perhaps you should ask CW for details and confirmation. :-k. :-k Two weeks on, how's things going? Keeping or being returned? Guy...

Re: Incomings?

Are we talking just CW or all brands? :-k :-k Guy I was talking anything. If you want to let us know how many CWs that would make me feel even better…only one of mine I’m waiting for is CW Two Zelos and one Wise. This year I really wanted to order a twelve Ti in green, an orange Lumiere and early n...
