If possible I’d take a video or recording of the sound. I myself am not a watch technical expert, but I’m sure there are some smart people around here they could tell you of the noise is normal or not!

I don’t currently own any manual wind watches, but I’m certainly not opposed to them nor do I have any preference to automatics. It just so happens that an overwhelming majority of watches released these days are automatics.

I decided to go ahead and email CW for an official response, and they replied “We would set it in the middle when your watch is resized and sent out. I hope that helps.”

To be honest from the limited info on the forum I think they just go by length and do whatever it takes to get there. Welcome! You could always give it a go yourself. Bracelet Sizing question
I’m about to purchase my first CW and want to have it sized by them so I don’t have to bother with it. From personal experience, does anybody know if they size the bracelet with the micro-adjust fully tightened, fully loosened, or somewhere in the middle?
