Re: Balancing smartwatch and ‘watch watch’

My initial thought is do you really need an Apple smartwatch? Neil My initial thought was "Believe me if you've had a back op and want to recover from it well then you really won't need anybody or anything to prompt you to get up and move". If there are other reasons or incentives to buy ...

Re: Balancing smartwatch and ‘watch watch’

Thanks to everyone for your responses, I imagine I’ll forget to charge up the Apple Watch after a week or two and the whole conundrum will resolve itself that way 😂

Re: Balancing smartwatch and ‘watch watch’

My initial thought is do you really need an Apple smartwatch? Wouldn’t something like a Fitbit do, as far as alerting you re moving and also be able to monitor some other health stuff? It doesn’t really look like a watch, therefore on your other wrist you wouldn’t look like a daft chap wearing a wa...

Balancing smartwatch and ‘watch watch’

This is my first ‘new post’, thank you to everyone for accepting me onto the forum since I joined, it’s a very friendly place 👍 So, I’ve got a back op scheduled for the end of this week, and the advice of my consultant is to get up and moving as soon as possible after. I’ve ordered an Apple Watch, a...

Re: What are you drinking right now....?

I wouldn’t normally choose a stout for a warm and sunny afternoon, but other than cartons of oat milk it’s all that is cold on the fridge. That being said it’s very nice, not at all ‘heavy’.

That’s a lovely trio of watches, I particularly like the one on the left, great detail on the dial.

Re: An Aquitaine colorway I’d like to see

Whilst I agree with the comments about legibility, that colour combination really works well. Hopefully one for the future (along with the sky blue 39mm Sealander I keep hoping will appear - crosses fingers)

Re: Advice on saving for a big purchase

It’s difficult, as there are always lots of temptations, but if you can hold on then I suspect you will end up with a watch for life.

Re: Tattoos

That looks great! And a great story to accompany too, thank you for sharing. Great detail, I love the dot work and shading, very nice. I have a few, most done later in life (well, 40 years and older). My son has been hankering after his first for a while now (long enough to ensure it’s not a passing...

Re: The Perfect Summer Hat ***NERD ALERT***

I do like that Jack Wolfskin hat, I might have to pick one of those up if still available. +1 for Tilley also 👍 Still available https://www.jack-wolfskin.co.uk/travel-hat/1908421_5420_003.html Strangely that page says it’s a women’s foldaway travel hat but the model wearing it in the photos is male...

Re: New Sealander colors coming Thursday.

I like these, good call including the matching strap also. Not for me on this occasion due to the 36mm size, great to see CW producing watches of this size however.

Like many I wonder whether these new colours will find their way into the larger Sealander case.

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button

I’ve just picked up an Abyss GMT. I previously bought one earlier this year, and after a period of indecision whilst it sat in the box I returned it to CW. I’ve frequently lamented this decision and secretly hoped that one might become available in the next sale. This time I’m taking it straight ou...
