Re: C9 Jumping Hour Mk.III

Kip, thank you. how about "quality watches less than 40mm" or "quality watches for smaller wrists."

Quality watches less than 40mm

for those looking for a high quality timepiece with a smaller watch face, I'd recommend checking out the grand seiko collection. in house movements, homemade component parts including seikos own lubricating oils, 50 years of small batch production and most of their watches are between.36mm and 40mm....

Re: The die has been cast . . .

I happen to be wearing that exact watch today! I've found it more comfortable on my wrist with a slightly wider leather strap but otherwise I think it's a perfect timepiece for me. I rarely receive compliments on any other watch, dress shirt, tie etc I wear, but the JH seems to catch people's eye. M...

Re: CWL Skeleton Watch

I'm a big fan of skeleton watches but agree they don't always look so great I once saw a Hamilton auto chrono jazz master that was a very limited edition and while pricey I sometimes kick myself for not purchasing it. I have the swatch irony skeleton auto . For a $120 range watch with eta 2824 its s...

Re: Jumping Hour Mk2, Oh No (now oh YES)

I really enjoy my JH1 and am most likely not going to get the JH2. All of the things that make the JH1 a lightening rod - the spider web pattern, the mix of roman and arabic numerals, and that strange triangular shape around the hour box- somehow all appeal to me and endear me to the watch. From the...

Re: Question for USA buyers

Same experience as many here. About 7-12 days, did not appear to get caught up in customs.

No administrative issues, etc.

Enjoy the watch and wear it in good health!

Re: Jumping Hour Mk2, Oh No

As a proud owner of the first JH I'm looking forward to reading more details about version two. The first is one of my favorite pieces and it draws some curious looks from observant onlookers from time to time. I like that.

Re: Price Increase

My point is not that prices are naturally rising. My point is that cw at full retail price is not necessarily a good value compared with similarly featured watches from other brands.

This is meaningful because cw promotes itself as a value brand.

Re: Price Increase

Thank you all for adding to the discussion. I updated my first post in this thread to include details for the auto watch models i have purchased that appear to be much better value buys than their cw equivalents. Again this is just for education and discussion. I own two cws and bought two womens cw...

Re: Price Increase

I know I may be labeled a heretic however i do not think the CW brand is as great a value as they purport to be Case in point is the c60 @ $600 approximately. I have a bernhardt corsair with eta 2836-2 and excellent bracelet that appears every bit as quality as the c60 in real life comparison. I pur...

Re: Arggghhhhhh I got carried away :-)

I'm a big fan of hamilton chronos with the 7750 . I have a field auto chrono and it gets a lot of wrist time Ive tried on the x wind and liked it. I've been looking at the c700 bit haven't purchased yet. Do you have any specific feedback regarding the differences between the x wind and c700 you can ...
