I'm not sure Tim is quite enough of a watch a guy to do that. Plus there are already three blue BCs now (Azzurro, Wave and Cielo).Grand Seiko wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:42 pm These will be all stars
I wonder if YouTuber Shmee from the UK (also a McLaren guy) will do a version in his favorite color, cerulean blue.

Re: VULCAN XII
Thanks guys
Yes, it's purposely very far removed from the series Twelves. Which is why I gladly bought a series Ti Blue a couple of days ago, as they are completely different watches.

VULCAN XII
VULCAN XII update I inspected the sample dials yesterday at CW's offices (and bought myself a Ti blue series Twelve). The VULCAN XII dial looked amazing, but I have requested a small colour change. Those with an allocation will have received a fully detailed update a few minutes ago. Sorry for those...

Bel Canto Phoenix update
Great news!
I am pleased to inform everyone that the Phoenix has now been scheduled for production, and we should receive our watches by the end of March.
Those who have an allocation will have received a detailed email from me a few minutes ago.

Pure black polished onyx would suit it IMO.
But it could be a different black stone dial, or as I mentioned, vanta black. Just something more interesting than a normal painted black dial.

Fixing the Halo
When this thing launched, I was thinking that the bezel should be turned slightly so the points would be at the hour markers IMO, CW made a number of errors on this design. Agree the bezel should have been rotated. But also the logo should be slightly higher, and they should have deleted all the te...

Between 0 and 22 minutes, you can hear the chime at will, by pressing the button twice.

Re: C1 Moonphase:
The posts look amazing, the purple really makes me interested for the first time. How is this the first time someone’s captured it looking like this? Thanks, I did post a more detailed explanation on FB but some mod seems to have deleted it so I can't copy and paste it here. In brief, my iPhone pho...

Re: C1 Moonphase: "My God, it's full of stars"
And still photos still can't truly capture the real life scintillations, do they? Indeed they don't, and even the video link I added doesn't really show it too well. It really sparkles in light, especially in the evening under LED ceiling spotlights. But these macro lens images do show the depth of...

You could well be correct. They definitely appear black polished in terms of quality and effect. But I've not seen CW claim this.

Re: C1 Moonphase: "My God, it's full of stars"
You're the second person today I've seen referring to "black polished hands": the hands on mine aren't black, they're silver so what am I missing? If you look at them at certain angles, the hands appear to be black to the eye, hence the name. It's a very high quality polishing process (us...

Re: C1 Moonphase: "My God, it's full of stars"
It’s a beautiful thing, but maybe the print on the dial could have been done in some form of script. Such as 𝒮𝓌𝒾𝓈𝓈 𝑀𝒶𝒹𝑒 I’m guessing with all the twinkling going on it really isn’t much of an issue. Personally, I'd prefer it without this text at all. It's enough to say Swiss Made on the case back I...

Re: C1 Moonphase: "My God, it's full of stars"
Interesting comment about the comparison between the dials of the CW, Moser and ALS. When I first saw pics of the CW I thought it was a stronger dial than either, but a less interesting case than the Moser. For sure the Moser beats the CW in all other respects: case, finishing and movement. But the...
