Re: Tw steel Nigel mansell limited edition

A classic example of a watch that is too big for its movement. All those sub-dials clustered together in the centre, crying out to be more sensibly spaced, as they would look on a smaller watch, but instead looking unbalanced because the designer was stuck with the positioning dictated by the moveme...

Re: 15% off all Tridents until Monday October 21st

It's not a real watch in either picture. It's a 3D rendering and the reflections have gone a bit clunky. I don't believe there is anything "leaked" there.

Re: Rugby World Cup

Patrick, I agree France should have won based on their performance before the red card. But they shot themselves in the foot, not just with the red card, but when they started to time-waste with 25 minutes to go - that put them in the wrong mindset and allowed Wales to come back at them. I have no i...

That does look rather splendid, Paul. And a great size too. Congratulations on yet another fantastic acquisition!

Re: Rugby World Cup

Good performance. They were able to retain to control despite Australia coming back hard at them at times. Great performances in the forwards. And in the backs Jonny May is deadly at the moment. I still think they are better with Ford at 10 though. The main blot was Elliot Daly who had an awful game...

Just to be clear that the asterisk in Patrick's quote relates to the caveat: "excludes Limited Editions and the Military Collection watches".

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

^^^^ Don't worry, it will all be neatly summarised when we get to the point of polls and making decisions. All you need to think about for now for each design is whether you'd buy it or not. You don't need to decide on a favourite yet. [emoji106]

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

It's fine that there are lots of ideas being put forward. There doesn't need to be a limit on them. We'll just say stop on Sunday. Then we will enter a process to whittle things down in a sensible way, but don't worry about that for now. Just enjoy the great ideas that are still coming forward. :)

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Could we have the blue Hombre dial on the Dartmouth? Christopher Ward logo at 12 Indented or applied twin flags at 6 (not sure if it has to be one or the other on the Hombre) Keep hour and minute markers as they are on the standard model? IF THE HOMBRE DIAL CAN ONLY BE USED ON A TRIDENT PLEASE ACCE...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I know I'm repeating myself, but dates at 6 need to be vertical windows to be feasible. Not sure you what the reason was but you mentioned it before. Fixed in the image above and looks better that way. I just wanted to make sure that everyone had an accurate understanding of what the date at 6 woul...

Re: Fine Watch Club - New Norwich Store

It looks worth a visit. The prices are certainly on the "retail" side but don't seem as bonkers as, say, Austin Kaye, which is a similar proposition. The also have some nice watches on their website. It would be nice to have a few more filters on the website, e.g. by year of manufacture if searching...
