Re: CWL of the day

I’ve neglected this one of late. I think it works well on black leather.

Re: New Atoll Special Edition

I’m intrigued by the color of this LE, and the price is fantastic for the value of this watch. Nice job on the Atoll blue, CW! I’m on the fence with this one as to where it would slot into my watch range. Must think some more about this. And it wouldn’t be a problem for me to miss this LE; I have no...

Re: CW Marketing Emails - Time to Unsubscribe?

I get some CW emails but it seems not as many as others do. And dealing with them, or any, isn’t that big enough of an issue to me. Sorry, not sympathetic. If you don’t want them, delete or ignore. Not all emails need to be read; managing your inbox shouldn’t escalate to the level of hand wringing a...

Re: I don’t know how you do it?

I can’t be bothered and it’s one of the big reasons I choose to live rurally. There are few neighbors who would complain. I’ll (or my sons will) cut the grass about weekly, more to keep the bugs down than anything. We have a fire ring in the back which we use every so often. But I only maintain abou...

Re: Tribus Watches

Only the Premier League watches and the Tri-04 remain. The straps are a decent value; I am not so fond of the bracelet. The price is right if you’re at all interested.

I hope Tribus returns with new designs soon.

Re: C65 Aquitaine GMT second hand scuffs, opinion?

While in this instance it would not bother me, I am not you. If it is a bother, exchange it. If it did bother me, I know I would ask for another.

Re: Bespoke C63 Colchester possible / interest

Welcome to the Forum, Lee! The Colchester is an interesting offering in the CW line. I quite like it. The notion of a bespoke watch from the Colchester base could be appealing. I wonder if there would be enough uptake among the boards here for such a project. Personally I’m not in a position to pled...

Re: Can you help with some research, please?

1. I learned about ancient Egypt for the first time in 2nd grade. My mother was also interested in the subject. We had several books about pharaohs and pyramids and deities. 2. My family and I went to see the touring Tutankhamen exhibit in both Philadelphia and Washington, DC. 3. I saw the 1956 film...

Re: Can you help with some research, please?

1. No we didn’t learn about Egypt outside of anything religious and to do with Moses. Nothing at all at secondary school 2. Too young for that, I wasn’t born until 74. 3. Not seen either film. 4. Not read Death on the Nile either, or seen any of the film adaptations. However Powerslave, with the Eg...

Re: How often do you look at your movements?

I occasionally may take off a watch to look into the works but for the most part I don’t bother. I’m not as interested in exhibition cases but if the watch has one I’ll flip it over at times. A majority of my watches have solid backs.

Re: Tribus Watches

I tried my hardest to buy something during the half price sale but I just think they've missed the mark with their designs and couldn't pull the trigger. Given everything in the current sale was 70% off six months ago, it's hard to see 50% off attracting any existing buyers. Tribus did have a price...

Re: Where do you keep your daily watch?

I don’t have a daily, per se. Watches I’m feeling like wearing over the next week or so get wound and sit in the sock drawer for an easy grab. I don’t wear watches while I sleep. My ring never comes off. I’ve been married more than half my life and for the last 10-12 years my fingers have gotten fat...

Re: In hindsight...was the Christopher Ward rebrand of 2016 a historic mistake?

Is it me or are more of the CW line up having the twin flag logo on ? I have just noticed the C60 chronograph, C60 Anthropocene GMT and C63 sealander elite. If this slow roll out continues when will the updated C60 Tridents be out? I noticed that both C60 Blue 40mm and 38mm are missing from the lin...
