Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

As a lover of functional, complicated and in particular pilot watches, the Reservoir Airfight Jet keeps me awake at night. A mechanical regulator with jumping minutes, jumping hour, date and a power reserve indicator (like a fuel gauge) :D But whoever designed it, he forgot the lume on the hours ind...

Wow, a Copernicus Regulator  . Tried in vain to contact Copernicus - not in existence any more.
A rare piece. And what a photo! Envy

Re: Simple beauty

I love this thread because it expresses much of my reality, not able to afford the high-price spectrum, but finding gems below the 1000€/£ mark, particularly in used watch auctions. There is so much that makes my heart beat there! This is my newest acquisition, a heavily used older Fortis B42 Diver ...

Pipala Strap from Poland for my new Stowa Bronze Flieger

Finally it arrived: the new handmade green thick leather strap, orange inside, with marvellous green sides, matching to my new Stowa Vintage B40 Flieger watch. I had seen this strap somewhere on Instagram and contatced the owner - in Poland. He recommended the maker, Przemek Pipala, to me (and infor...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

This is a beauty to look at and has a beauty in the mechanical solution of its complications. I love watch complications and simple and clear design - so this one is an ultimate (and unaffordable) teaser for me :D Day-Night from Ochs. Besides the time in the middle you see the sun and moon spinning ...

Re: NATO's

B & R Bands (bandrbands.com) has quite a NATO selection in the $12-$24 price range. They are US and do not carry the Brexit-penalty for you, I guess? I ordered some unique "Hook N' Loop" straps with them to try out - but for me on the continent they have the VAT & cutoms penalty an...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

This is a watch that could weaken my resistance. The lume is gorgious! Even more illuminating is the inner bezel, that should move as well with the hour hand, but keep slowly behind as it turns once in 24 hours while the hour hand runs twice. And - it has to be set to be in tune with the time zone s...

Re: C8 Regulator

I finally have a proper strap made for my Regulator. Again from FinWatchStraps handmade in Finland, this time a Suede Vintage Leather in a matching colour (Stone Monaux), the stitching thread colour matching the vintage lume, and a matte stainless steel buckle echoing the case material. And indeed, ...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

These look amazing, without being specific, what's the ballpark figure for these? In one of his posts he mentioned pricing might start at €1.100, then depending on the material used, features and add-ons chosen. As there seems to be a waiting list and this price will never cover his manual work I g...

Bronze watch in waiting. This one from Mr. Beeman in Prague who developed his own modular design that intrigues me. I love the lumed bezel and the matter-of-factish design. XIIVI First Blood Model IV. All hand-made by himself - hence an endless waiting list :( Look here: www.xiivi.com first-blood_IV...
