Re: CW January 21 sale reboot
I'm a bit disappointed by CW sales strategy. All the way up to Christmas I was receiving email offers and enticements, but what I don't like are sales where you could jump in and make a purchase only to find a cheaper price later on. I've not studied individual watch prices over time, so it might be...

Re: Birthday watch
I have a C60 Sapphire and I love it. Although it's a fully spec'd diving watch I wouldn't describe it a workhorse, it's far too pretty for that.

Re: The Pepsi Challenge
For me, the Citizen Promaster gets my vote so far. It kind of just looks right to me. Many thanks for the suggestions so far.

The Pepsi Challenge
I've recently become quite interested in adding a Pepsi bezel style watch to my collection. Doing a quick search on eBay returns so many brands and models it's going to be hard to make a shortlist! Expensive brands like Rolex are out of the question. Seiko is an obvious choice, but I quite like the ...

Re: CWL of the day
That's a fantastic combination of watch and strap. I haven't really considered swapping straps on my watches to get a new look but I've been inspired

What makes a high quality Quartz movement?
I was wondering what differences there are between a low quality quartz movement, a high quality one and a premium movement? Being solid state and the same technology I would expect roughly the same accuracy from all three. I can certainly appreciate that an in-house premium mechanical movement with...

Re: How about a dedicated ladies CW?
I can see that CW have indeed dedicated a watch to a lady, but not recently. So maybe it's about time for another. Perhaps CW could poll forum members for suggestions.....

How about a dedicated ladies CW?
Please correct me if I'm wrong if CW have done this, but isn't it about time (no pun intended) that CW did a watch dedicated to women? I know that diving, motor sport, aviation are not male specific, but what about dedicating an aviator to Emilia Earhart, or a dive watch to Dr Sylvia Earle etc etc e...

Can Watches be a Good Investment Today?
With interest rates so low it almost costs money to keep your money in a bank, can watches be a good investment? I'm not thinking about a quick buy low, sell high turnaround, but more of a long term strategy. I don't actually have any money to invest, but I'm interested to know if there are any mode...

Re: What’s the best thing about the watch you’re wearing right now?
It's a really old Pulsar, the case and bracelet quality is really poor, the chrome plating is coming off. The best thing though is that I can wear it while doing DIY and not having to worry about damaging it. It sucks up all the abuse I throw at it, and just keeps going.

No Fears?
I've just discovered Fears watches by accident. I was looking on Google for images of engraved watches. I remembered seeing a Rolex Sub and wanted to investigate having my Tag Aquaracer bracelet engraved. Then I stumbled over a Fears watch and was surprised to find that they are made in Bristol UK w...

I've seen stock photos of the C65 Pepsi and found it to be a great looking watch, but on your wrist it looks even better. Enjoy your evening out.

How Does Watch Design Compare To Toothpaste?
I can almost hear forum members when they read the subject title, "what the.....?". Stay with me for just a moment while I explain. Have you ever noticed how adverts for toothpaste go, "our toothpaste cleans your teeth", "our toothpaste cleans your teeth & your gums"...
