Re: Aaron Bespoke Straps

Both the beaver and toad look impressive, and very unusual choices. I'd never heard of them before reading this thread.

I like crocodile and alligator, but I'm not so keen on lizard.

Re: What Car do you drive??

We have personalized numbers, but with date letters. We have bought from DVLC for 250 and they are just a bit of fun. My son's name is TOM though, and I always regret not buying G7TOM for £1000 many years ago. I imagine it would cost 5 times that now. I don't think car numbers go down in price over ...

On reflection maybe some green metallic enamel model paint might improve it.

Re: Mark on Abyss bezel

Different approach. Maybe you could get a new bezel. I got a similar scratch on a Loreo hulk, that's quite infuriating. I must have caught it on a brick wall or something. Between the 35 and 40. No way I could fix this, even with perfect paint. I think a lot of the time these marks look worse to the...

Re: New straps for my reverso

I think a honey brown cordovan would look great on this. I have a CW cordovan with bader clasp and a Rios Chicago (I think it's a Chicago - it's honey brown with a white stitch anyway), but on a standard tang fastener. Different width for a different watch. Both straps are a gorgeous colour, and hav...

Am I right in thinking they wrap tattoos in cling film as well? I imagine it's for a similar reason.

Re: Bracelet for a C65 Trident Classic Limited Edition?

I doubt it. if a straight spring bar won't fit between the lugs, you won't get a bracelet fitted. I have a Raymond Weil watch with two sets of holes. One set fits a leather strap like yours, and needs curved spring bars. The other set is further away from the case and accomodates other straps. Maybe...

By the way, I have the "standard" bronze with a blue hybrid strap, and really enjoy wearing it. That ombre special looks fantastic. I am sure you will enjoy it for many years to come.

Driven over that one a couple of times in the car. Deffo wouldn’t tackle it on my peddle bike.
I wasn't too keen in a car either, many years ago.

Am I right in thinking some minibuses run services over hardknott and wrynose? I wouldn't fancy those either.

It would have lots of sand features. Sand blasted case, and a "sandy" dial.

Re: Watch bracelet Pins

Pins and collars are the devil's own concoction. Drop them off your workspace at your peril. The first time you realise you haven't got a normal split pin, you may already have lost the collar.

Re: MOD endorsement of the Military Series.

Fixed lug bars would be a real guard agaInst actual loss though, wouldn't they. With removable lug bars, you would have to lose both bars to lose the watch, although it would dangle if it lost one. With fixed lug bars, there's little likelihood of loss which makes a lot of sense in a military enviro...

Re: What makes a high quality Quartz movement?

This is my Ronda R9, which runs very accurately, but won't ever be displayed through a transparent case back, although I do enjoy wearing the watch. I think that's the point (or at least one of them). There isn't that much difference between 10 seconds a month, (or 2 minutes a year) and just a secon...
