Re: Brexit - additional duty to pay (UK to EU shipping)
It's not watch related, but I've just been browsing an outdoor equipment / military surplus website based in Finland and I've noticed that they have reduced all their prices by what I assume is their VAT equivalent. Still a pain dealing with import duty but at least it means only paying the tax once...

Re: Loupe magazine
Is it my imagination, or does Loupe tend to tie in with a new watch release? So the question could equally be - "are there any new models due"?

Re: Recommendation for canvas/leather watch roll
I did buy mine off ebay, from a seller called wellerleather, says made by him in the UK and very nice it is too, although they are now at £29.50 I paid less early last year. Holds 4 watches. I don't go for large watches but a 42mm dive watch will fit in the smallest slot - the other 3 are larger.

If they hadn't put the screw down pushers on, then every review would be: "it's a dive watch without screw down pushers ..."

Re: C60 Bronze One Year Later
A really attractive watch, It's the nature of genuine patina that it looks a bit uneven. I like it a lot.

Re: Bezel Modifying on a CW
It's probably very easy to do (of course it's always easy with someone else's watch!) Probably just a matter of popping it off with a butter knife, a plastic bag and a bit of masking tape. If the bezel isn't held on by some kind of mechanical fixing (screw), then it must be a press fit. BUT you may ...

Difficult times indeed for many people.
Doesn't everyone start off at the "Unconscious incompetence" stage though? Only a problem if they don't move on!

Re: gaf1958 - January 2021
Amazing. I've been in a shops that are less well stocked than that! What I'd love to hear about is some of the practicalities of owning a substantial collection - servicing, wearing in rotation etc.
Thanks for sharing.

£1k might be a bit low, but you could always make an offer - if they say "no", you've not lost anything.

Re: Bezel Modifying on a CW
I think they look great, but they're your watches so you can do what you like with them. Yes, as I understand it the warranty is on the movement only so swapping bezels shouldn't affect that. Remember though that the warranty (from any manufacturer) is in addition to your consumer rights. However, i...

Being a tight Northerner, I would go for the C60. It is the CW forum after all.
I also think it looks fantastic.

I had a look at the website too. There are some really creative designs on there. Not my taste but that's OK. As for Mt McGregor (makes me think of Peter Rabbit that), he's spending his own money on something he likes - good luck to him.

It does and it looks great. I've got the first version - about as comfortable as new boots (for me anyway), but a very good looking strap. Now what I would like to know is if the hybrid strap will fit a MK2

Re: C60 Abyss SH21 is 30 ATM or 60ATM?
There most likely is and should be an option to return, not just to replace the dial but for a full refund, regardless of any wear or 60/60. As a result, there would no longer be any financial loss at all and no debate Well, there is isn't there? It's the Consumer Rights Act 2015 although the retur...
