Re: Repair costs? Specifically a re-case
Thanks to you all for your input! £300 would be about what I'd expect, but I wouldn't be surprised if if cost more, in which case it might end up financially unviable! I'll still send off to CW and at least hopefully they'll confirm options and parts availability. It may be a case (pardon the pun) o...

Repair costs? Specifically a re-case
Hi all, Just wondering about service and repair costs from CW, I've never seen them publicly revealed and I've got a watch I need to have repaired - specifically a new case and bezel on a 43mm Trident C60 MK2. Anyone got any idea how much this will cost? I know I can send it off to CW and wait for q...

Re: Stay loyal to Watchmaker?
Was that deep scratch on the caseback, on the 'SWISS MADE' text there before?
Also, no, don't use them again!

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion
Well I've just had the opposite experience! I tried on the Pasadena Blue Loco (which I've ordered), as well as the Twelve X in Steel. I've contacted CW to see if I can cancel my Loco order and will order a Twelve X in Steel separately. I'm no watch reviewer, but the Twelve X blew me away. Asked if t...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion
Well I'm off to Time + Tide tomorrow where I (hope) to make a decision - either stick with the Loco (I've ordered Pasadena Blue), consider changing for a Twelve X in either steel or Ti, or perhaps change my mind completely. Will be fun finding out. I'll update with some opinions but I'm absolutely n...

Re: What's my partial delivery tomorrow by DHL?
When I ordered my watch (on bracelet) - which might be due in about 6 months, I did forget about the 3 for 2 straps (I only ordered 2 like an idiot). I emailed them and they mentioned that they'll add a third strap but it may come separately, before the watch. So I'm assuming I'll be getting a simil...

Re: new universal watch on regular sh21?
Not really universal, but the ‘Alliance 02’ - as written in the latest Loupe - is coming sometime this year with SH21. Too bad I am not a member of the Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers, so I will not be eligible. Yes that is a bit disappointing, but hopefully they'll release something bas...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion
CW got back promptly this morning and did ask for confirmation if I definitely wanted to cancel given the first drop is now sold out. So, what I've done is agreed to leave it as-is, in the meantime I need to pop down to Time & Tide in London and actually see one in person to see if it wows me. I...

Re: new universal watch on regular sh21?
It is, but especially with an in-house movement I like the safety of the 60 month warranty. Aside from the Blue Marine / Snow Leopard, the elusive C60 Concept and of course the Twelve X, many are now out of warranty.tikkathree wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:27 pm Well the back catalogue isn't short of SH21/CW001 watches...

Re: new universal watch on regular sh21?
That would be an interesting proposition. A regular Sh21 not skeleotonized. We can only hope. I am curious about that they doing with the cw002 movement that Mike F hinted at . Absolutely. I've owned a couple of SH21s over the years, including the original Harrison dress watch, and the SH21 Trident...

Re: new universal watch on regular sh21?
I'd like to see SH21 and the new CW003 make their way into a few more watches as CW seem to have done over the years - dress watches, dive watches, e.t.c. At the moment they seem to only be using it in their highest end intergrated sports watch designs. Then again I can't blame them as they probably...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion
Appreciate the reply. Happy to wait for them and continue pondering - not CWs fault I'm an impulsive person and happy they have weekends off :) If they accept the cancellation without questioning me that is absolutely fine. I think the fact I was already questioning my decision means it would be sil...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion
I haven't had confirmation of my cancellation yet, I assume I'll hear from them on Monday (possibly asking if I'm sure I want to cancel). I do like the design of the watch, but still wonder if it was an impulse / FOMO decision rather than a logical one. Then again I don't think any of my watch purch...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion
... I'll confess that I did actually order a Loco, and have now decided to cancel the order. I honestly feel that for me - after watching many YouTube reviews and things the past couple of nights - I'd prefer a Twelve X Steel. I did mention that elsewhere in the thread but neglected to mention I had...

Re: C12 Loco - A Revolution in Motion
I have to admit that, despite not being personally keen and there not being a universally positive reaction, I’m a little surprised that (if I understand the pre-order date appearing on the website correctly) the initial batch of 750 hasn’t moved on the first day. I thought off the heels of the Bel...
