Re: Who else would like to see …

If you’re not desperate for a shiny bezel or 300m WR, the 39mm Sealander GMT has a lot going for it. 150m so a proper swimming watch. Under 12mm height. Better dial to bezel ratio than a dive watch. Who else would like to see …

A C60 Trident Pro 300 GMT? 38 or 40mm, slimmer than my 600 40mm, better bracelet (I think so, anyway).

Re: Any known plans for a "true" GMT ?

I do enough cross time zone traveling that a GMT is nice to have. As others have mentioned, when you’re flying across time zones you have time on the plane to reset either style. That said, the biggest advantage I see with “true” GMT vs caller is being able easily adjust the hour hand back and forth...

Paphos, south-west corner. I spend Christmas and New Year there every year. I love it.
I spent a little over a week in Paphos with some friends living there. Loved it and dang near rented a place long term.

Re: Nothing more, nothing less...

I wore my 38.5 Seiko solar for two weeks straight just recently. It was supposed to be one week at a client site, but got extended for a second week. It was a good choice, accurate and comfy, but I could hear the rest of the watch box calling out in loneliness and neglect, like a cat that can almost...

Re: Sort-of torn… Opinions please!

I gotta follow the herd on this one, I think the 38 looks good on you. I’m kinda pondering a 38 myself for a 7.25 or so wrist. I have a 38.5 Seiko diver and I’m liking it more every day.

Re: Incoming

I sometimes get to thinking that the best strategy for getting rid of some of my watches is simply to sell the ones I don’t wear. But I think it was Neil (nbg) who said something recently that made me realise that some watches might not be worn so much but, wow, you enjoy wearing them from time to ...

Re: Early Thoughts on the C60 Trident 300 Pro

I’m looking forward to some wrist shots of the 40mm in black. I think the taper to 16 is a winner.

Re: Trident Pro 300 Preview

I may end up selling a few to get up the funds for a 40mm black dial on bracelet. I have a 40mm GMT C60 now, the Mk 3 600 version, but I think they’ll get along OK.

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Update to the update. I got it back two weeks ago, ahead of the projected turnaround. Good on CW for that. It’s now running around -6 spd, so we’ll within tolerance. Unfortunately for me, I guess, my tastes and needs have shifted some, so I’ll probably be listing it for sale. Not her due to post cou...

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

Having the hands aligned is hardly a tolerance issue. They are either aligned or not. It is simply pass or fail. I really is not so black&white. The 2893 is known to have some alignment issues with the GMT hand . There's a significant slack in the general time setting mechanism of these movemen...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Update. Sent it back to CW again, they covered the shipping. I got an email acknowledging receipt, an invoice statement for regulation (zeroed out, no charge to me), and a follow up email telling me it’ll take 8-10 weeks to get done and back to me. At that point, they’ll have had it longer than I ha...

I have to agree. I’ve had a couple white/light dial watches and I have trouble seeing polished hands, not enough contrast.

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Other than the timekeeping issue, this really is an exceptional watch. I must be stupid or something as I thought the primary function of a watch was to tell the time. So, if a watch doesn’t do that how can it be ‘exceptional’? It’s like a pub with no beer - useless. Me; ‘Oh, my cars fantastic’ Fri...
