Re: CW Return Process

I had a couple of nearly new purchases to return. Both requests for return packages submitted via the web form went ignored, but I had better luck emailing support directly. I ought to point out that my return was initiated after an email exchange directly with customer support, not through a retur...

Re: CW Return Process

You’re having better luck than I am. No response from them yet on a contact message sent a week and a half ago, and no response on a return request sent last Friday.

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Are you sure the watch has been in a similar state of power throughout- ie either worn everyday for an auto or wound at the same point every day for a hand-wind? The rate can vary enormously depending on the power reserve. I can’t speak for the others, but yes on mine. Regular wear, this was going ...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

same here, have had a blue GMT for 2 months which is running persistently about 30 secs slow per day requiring regular time setting as a result. I too am waiting for the service department to be reopened. So far the responses I have received suggest they will charge me for the movement regulation. ...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Same here. I got my C60 Trident GMT on June 8. The first couple of days it ran at +2 spd. Now, it's slowed down to an inconsistent -8 to -25 spd which varies from day to day. I've contacted CW about a return, but no response yet.

Re: What’s the best thing about the watch you’re wearing right now?

There’s a lot to like about the SKX007. Reliable, easy to read, unpretentious, etc. day of the week keeps me oriented during pandemic unemployment. What I like best about this particular one is that it runs within about 2 spd.

Sellita movement break in period?

Has anyone experienced a “ break in” period with a Sellita movement, like the SW330-1? I’m asking because my C60 GMt was great out of the gate, about +2 spd for the first three days, now it’s shifted to about -4 spd for the last week. I’ve had watches that have taken up to a month to truly settle in...

Re: Too soon to tell?

Ok, so my 40mm C60 arrived today, I can’t say enough good about C. Ward and their customer service. They were just perfecto all the way around. 👍🏻 Everything I had to say about the 42 applies here as well. Look, quality feel, hand alignment, all better than you would expect. For me, the 40mm size is...

Re: New CW

The first question for me would be: "Do you need/will you use a GMT?" If yes, answer obvious. If no, think again. Complications are nice, but for me there's little point in having them unless you intend to use them. Respectfully disagree there, I think the GMT hand brings a nice splash of colour, c...

Re: Too soon to tell?

FWIW, I sent the watch back on Tuesday. It was just a bit bigger than I wanted, so I’ve requested a straight exchange for a 40mm. Maybe it’s an age thing, but I just want a bit smaller. To me, 40mm is a more nearly classic size.

Re: Too soon to tell?

Your photo looks like the size is ok - but as AVO says only you can really decide on that. I feel that height is usually the biggest effect when wearing and whether 40 or 42mm diameter the height is little changed (.15mm to be pedantic) whereas the bigger diameter spreads the height better - IMHO. ...

Too soon to tell?

Ok, I’ve had my first C. Ward watch for exactly two days now. Not a review as such, but some first impressions. I cannot see any obvious or visible corner cutting in how the watch is built. Case work, bracelet, bezel, etc. all look really very well done. No complaints here. Sellita SW330? At 48 hour...

Re: New Watch Syndrome, or the Honeymoon Period

I’m doing that right now. My C60 GMT showed up last night around 6:30PM. Played with it a little bit, then had the bracelet sized by 8 PM. I sold all my other real watches, I have a Seiko SKX007 and a couple G-Shocks left.
