Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Update to the update. I got it back two weeks ago, ahead of the projected turnaround. Good on CW for that. It’s now running around -6 spd, so we’ll within tolerance. Unfortunately for me, I guess, my tastes and needs have shifted some, so I’ll probably be listing it for sale. Not her due to post cou...

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

Having the hands aligned is hardly a tolerance issue. They are either aligned or not. It is simply pass or fail. I really is not so black&white. The 2893 is known to have some alignment issues with the GMT hand . There's a significant slack in the general time setting mechanism of these movemen...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Update. Sent it back to CW again, they covered the shipping. I got an email acknowledging receipt, an invoice statement for regulation (zeroed out, no charge to me), and a follow up email telling me it’ll take 8-10 weeks to get done and back to me. At that point, they’ll have had it longer than I ha...

I have to agree. I’ve had a couple white/light dial watches and I have trouble seeing polished hands, not enough contrast.

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Other than the timekeeping issue, this really is an exceptional watch. I must be stupid or something as I thought the primary function of a watch was to tell the time. So, if a watch doesn’t do that how can it be ‘exceptional’? It’s like a pub with no beer - useless. Me; ‘Oh, my cars fantastic’ Fri...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

I was out of town when my watch got back to the house, so I only unwrapped it two days ago. So far, it’s running +35 or so. Lepsi app says its magnetized, so I have a demagnetizer on the way. Once that’s done, I’ll see how it goes. Other than the timekeeping issue, this really is an exceptional watc...

Re: C60 Trident Pro - Second Hand problem?

Does it keep good time? If it does, I would be inclined to think it's just a trick of the light. At first, I was thinking parallax issue. Just a trick of the crystal or the viewing angle. A closer look at the pics shows the trident just about in contact with the minute hand. I’ll echo the other adv...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Just an update. My watch is now running -30 seconds/day, so it's still slowing down. I'm concerned that when I send it back to CW, they'll simply regulate it, and not fix whatever is causing it to slow down. I wonder if they received a batch of movements that were not lubricated properly or somethi...

Re: CW Return Process

I had a couple of nearly new purchases to return. Both requests for return packages submitted via the web form went ignored, but I had better luck emailing support directly. I ought to point out that my return was initiated after an email exchange directly with customer support, not through a retur...

You’re having better luck than I am. No response from them yet on a contact message sent a week and a half ago, and no response on a return request sent last Friday.

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Are you sure the watch has been in a similar state of power throughout- ie either worn everyday for an auto or wound at the same point every day for a hand-wind? The rate can vary enormously depending on the power reserve. I can’t speak for the others, but yes on mine. Regular wear, this was going ...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

same here, have had a blue GMT for 2 months which is running persistently about 30 secs slow per day requiring regular time setting as a result. I too am waiting for the service department to be reopened. So far the responses I have received suggest they will charge me for the movement regulation. ...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Same here. I got my C60 Trident GMT on June 8. The first couple of days it ran at +2 spd. Now, it's slowed down to an inconsistent -8 to -25 spd which varies from day to day. I've contacted CW about a return, but no response yet.

Re: What’s the best thing about the watch you’re wearing right now?

There’s a lot to like about the SKX007. Reliable, easy to read, unpretentious, etc. day of the week keeps me oriented during pandemic unemployment. What I like best about this particular one is that it runs within about 2 spd.
