Re: My new C60 Sapphire is better than my Breitling, Rolex and Omegas
Your right, that coloured piece of plastic inside really elevates it above the top marque brands you mention. Your disagreement with the OP is clear, but for the sake of accuracy it's actually a layer of blue sapphire and not plastic. I’m 99% sure the color comes from a blue transparent polycarbona...

Re: Spinning rotor syndrome on my FLE: Cured?
@rkovars you can’t fully see it in the photo I took, but when I move the rotor I can see 2 interlocking wheels that spin when I turn the rotor. Aren’t those the reverser wheels? IMG_7725.jpeg Some of them (I think). Here is a good photo of the underside of the SW200 rotor and plate. https://preview...

Re: Spinning rotor syndrome on my FLE: Cured?
ajax87 If you are feeling daring the real test would be to remove the rotor by removing the center screw and inspecting the reverser wheels themselves (they are attached to the underside of the rotor). Everything will come off as one piece and it is super easy to get seated again. I took one off re...

Re: Show your pet!
The loss of a faithful pet leaves a bigger hole in your life than you would think, even if it is expected. Those profound silences are the hardest. Take some comfort in the silences telling you that life was better having known him and having him in your life than never having him at all. Their live...

Re: Moonwatch pusher fallen off - update
Re courtesy watch - they'd have to give you a like for like watch that you'd find acceptable to wear out and about - but maybe with a cheap quartz movement inside so you definitely won't run away and keep it  Hublot used to do this too. I think they stopped doing it (or at least charge for the...

Re: I think I'm DONE with Sellita movements
My second CW, a Sealander 36mm came with an SW200-1 and it’s +15s/d on the wrist. It’s the first mechanical watch with which I have to be careful screwing down the crown since it tends to cross-thread. To prevent this, I think I have it now down to pressing firmly in before rotating. I have long ha...

Re: BumbleBeasts with broken wings. Incident Analysis, and attempt to find Root Cause.
It's always out by 4 seconds as well. If CW did its only final checks before shipping and find an issue, then they could send the watch back to Switzerland for fixing and another official QC sign-off, couldn't they? The point is that since final QC is in Switzerland the pre-ship QC procedures might...

Re: BumbleBeasts with broken wings. Incident Analysis, and attempt to find Root Cause.
The only variable that is glossed over in your writeup is the possibility that the watch indeed did reset to 12 when it left CW. That opens the door to a couple of other questions: 1. Is the packing enough to prohibit the hands from moving in shipment? 2. Is there an issue with the shipper that they...

Re: The JOMW Watch. Erebus Origin.
The hour hand is either too short or too fat. Make it 0.25mm narrower or 1.5mm longer as the current proportions don't work with the seconds hand. I see what they were trying to do here. Typically with that hand design the minute hand is a different color to further differentiate the two. When they...
