Re: eBay experience

I've sold a few watches on ebay and always been lucky and have had no problems. Posted them all by Royal Mail Special Delivery with insurance and state post to UK only on my listings. I list them with a high Buy It Now price but add Best Offer. That way it gives you the chance to see a potential bu...

Re: Trident Pro 600 slowing down?

If it is running slow, try setting it 5 minutes fast in the morning. By the end of the day it will be spot on

Re: Where did all the C6 Kingfishers go?

I know where one of them went it's in my watch box. The T3 limited addition model. Just can't help thinking, why the hell did they put a deployment clasp on a diver?

Re: C60 Trident date setting problem

Hi, I just bought unused C60 Trident Bronze Pro 600 from eBay, but I have an issue with rapid date correction. I can't adjust date when crown is in postition 3. When I pull crown to position 4 and push back to positon 3 rotating crown feels 'sticky'. I followed all instructions. Date changes normal...

Re: 4 days with the Sapphire

It’s been 4 days and it hasn’t left my wrist. In person, the dial, and whole watch for that matter, is excellent. The dial brings a superb depth and detail to the face. It’s really hard to capture the lustre and detail in pic but here’s a few anyway Cheers 5AB4E87D-B640-445A-8C52-65394941A6C5.jpeg ...

Re: How much winding to get an auto working well?

Very interesting research. It confirms a suspicion I’ve had for a while about my Sinn 104 (SW220) which I used to think had erratic time keeping from rest; I’ve recently started to wind it more to get it going and its time keeping seems to have improved. Also supports what I think I knew about my N...

Re: How much winding to get an auto working well?

I agree with Commisar, no more than about twelve hours worth. I once ruined an automatic movement by attempting to wind it to the maximum power reserve Oh man that's awful What happened, did a clutch not disengage? Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk It was a relatively inexpensive watch, but one...

Re: Coronavirus

Just jumped on this one, and have not bothered to read all the pages, so here is my call on it. We have 67m people in the country, and the population has aged. Such viruses are here to do some cleansing. It is predominantly the old and fragile who will die as result, with unfortunately a very small...

Re: Removing patina from C65 Bronze

I acted on the suggestion given in one of CW's information videos, of applying clear wax paste to the watch, to maintain the unpatinated finish. I did that to my C60 Ombré. I now have to figure out how to remove the excess wax from the nooks. Where can one buy such a product ? Clear paste waxes cou...
