Re: Stem came off from my 595

Just an update. The watch came back from CW working as good as if not better than new. The winding feels smoother than before.

And something like this in 34 or 35mm but with shorter lugs

That would be a must buy. I too like some of the Stowa watches but think CW could do better in terms of quality.

Re: What would I like CW to Design next?

I’d like to see a 36mm case, probably a C65 vintage MK3.

What would be your desert island watch?

I was playing a zombie survival game on my PS4 when this question popped into my mind. If you are left in a post apocalypse world or on a desert island, what will be your choice of wrist watch?

And why?

Re: C65 battle: Trident vintage vs Sandhurst

It depends if you want an addition to your watch collection or one watch to be worn in all occasions. If the latter, I think the c65 trident would handle more occasions with sensible changes of straps. The sandhurst is bit more special and has a military vibe. Makes a great outdoor watch.

Re: Drat and double-drat!

Posted in another thread. Update 13/7/20: phoned CW Towers. They plan to reopen the service department at the end of July. Sorry to hear of your problem. Potentially, can happen to anyone, with any watch at anytime. Happened once to me, some years ago, CW C11 Makaira Pro. Unscrewed the crown to cha...

Stem came off from my 595

This morning I picked up the 595 as I like wearing it for work even when I am at home. I wound the watch around 18 times and went on to pull the crown for adjusting time as it had been lying in the watch box over the weekend. As I pulled the crown out I did not feel the normal resistance as I would ...

Re: C5 Malvern 595 Winding

I have received my 595 last week. The crown does feel much stiffer than the other watches I have. And I notice the spring barrel rolls back a little bit every time you wind the crown. I think it is natural to have some resistance in manual winding watches if you know how main spring works, although ...
