Re: Money, meet mouth

I came to CW via the new super compressor and fell in love with the Sandhurst. After a couple of days deliberating I put my money where my mouth is as they say and placed an order for the Sandhurst just now. I'll report back when it arrives in the States If I could afford it at the moment, the Sand...

Formal = understated elegance.
Does that imply a thin, dark strap?

Re: USA Source for Bader Clasp

I recently purchased two butterfly style clasps from Watchgecko . They were relatively inexpensive, and so far I quite like them. They shipped quickly and arrived promptly in the US with no issues. They also offer a deployant clasp , but I've not had any hands-on with it. Does the butterfly clasp a...

USA Source for Bader Clasp

Is there a USA source for Bader clasps? If not can you recommend any alternative deployant clasps.

As my interest in straps is increasing, I'd like to experiment with deployant clasps. However, I'm not quite ready to spring for a cordovan strap yet.

Thanks

Re: All the way from Vietnam

Very nice! I think I have been eyeing straps from the same vender. Glad to hear they are of very good quality. That black white python strap is pretty special.

This is now my dress/formal watch and strap... C5 MMXV FLE on a black alligator pattern leather strap with bader.
That's a great look.

Re: Formal Straps?

The Cartier Tank screams Class.

I'm leaning towards genuine alligator in black to match my C5 595.

Formal Straps?

There are lots of threads and discussions about formal watches, but I have not seen any about the straps that should go with formal watches.

How would you describe a formal strap?

Thanks

Re: Breaking In New Hybrid Strap

I put mine on a hard [cheap] watch pillow for about a week and it was fine. You could also put the strap at the bottom of a mug that gives you the curve you want and then pour hot water in the mug and let it sit. Pour cold water on the strap to set on the curve. You can also set in front of the TV f...

Re: Do returned items become “Nearly New” items?

I think the NN watches are returns, because I got an C3 Malvern with an additional hole crudely punched in the strap. I can't imagine a photagraher or blogger would ruin a strap. CW did make it right by quickly sending me a replcement.

For now I 'm using the black hybrid that I picked up on eBay. I'm a fan of the original CW, so I'm content until I have the bracelet resized (No rush).

Re: What did I do wrong?

I don't think I've ever seen a picture of the C7 quartz where the second hand is perfectly aligned. I have similar challenges which my other quartz watches that have 3-hand Ronda movements (other brands). At least in my watches, the second hand does not always move the same distance for each tick. I...

Re: What's in the strap drawer daddy?

Until my mood changes...Today, I would go with the black leather white stitched or the embossed cognac leather straps.
