Ha! I did try that once. Eyes rolled. Aussies can do nasal without trying :)

Re: Two-handers?

Some interesting observations, folks. And thank you all for taking the time for making them. Ticking (pun intended....) a few of them off: Yes here in Australia we do have multiple time zones but when it's as simple as the west being 2 hours behind the east, I'm a lost cause if I need a 4th hand for...

Two-handers?

I've been looking at a 2-hander watch and I'm not quite sure how I feel about that aspect. The simplicity is good, but so is a second-hand's sweep. I keep asking myself how often do I actually handy-reference it? You know, there are times... Interested in observations of those who have them. What I ...

Re: Been Looking for a Panda watch...

My personal experience with a VK63 with running seconds (as per the Dan Henry) is very solid. The mecaquartz is Good Thing. Good to have a couple in the watchbox I don't have to wind :)

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Homage

My blue/steel C65 hand-winder is a keeper and won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Not flooding ebay that's for sure. That said, Apexrare (horrible name) does come out of the Lugyou "stable" and they actually make decent watches. A mate has one under their new Cronos brand name and it's a really ni...

Re: The way I went for the big half cent-ury

Congrats on both the birthday and this beautiful peace. Terrible shame it's just too much watch for my skinny wrist, but there you go... It continues to amaze me how serendipity in our lives can so importantly overtake our considered planning. There can be little doubt the Spitfire is an icon that m...

We often plan and mess about and then the right thing just happens. Aint life grand? You might recall Lindsey the serendipity that surrounded my Stowa Marine. It just fell in my lap unplanned and gosh that one gives me a warm glow every time I put it on. I hope your LLD does the same for you for a v...

Re: First World Barton Strap "Problems" - NOT!

LOL. I have strap here that didn't quite work for the watch I bought it for and seem to spend half my time trying NOT to buy a watch to suit it... I keep telling myself the right watch will happen in "the fullness of time". But as you say Chuckracer, the orange one is on the to do list. BTW haven't ...

Re: Watch "3 Affordable Alternatives To Expensive Chronographs | Watchfinder & Co." on YouTube

I do enjoy the WF & Co videos just for the look and HIGH quality narration. Art on the computer screen. Rarely see an actual watch that switches on a realistic "must have" response but that doesn't matter. Some beautiful pieces on display worthy of emptying someone else's bank account though. The sh...

Interesting view as ever from Jenni.
Her channel is going through the roof. 5,000 new subscribers every week.

Umm... that would be a "spoiler alert" then, Patrick? :)

A fine read, Steve. Enjoyed it. Perhaps an addendum for "A Man And His Watch" :)

Re: Your 2893-2 / SW330 experiences

Great contributions folks, as always.
Yeah, I think I will have a go with one of those. I do have something in mind although the piggy bank has a bit more filling up to do (not SO much).
