Re: CWL of the day

Couldn't help myself. I bought another C65 Trident Automatic. Good move - difficult to beat. I hope the experience of this one makes up for all the grief of the last :) For me, personaly, there isn't much out there that competes on looks, let alone value. Having said that I won;t be wearing this on...

Re: Delivery timescales

Exactly. Email them to check on status. In my case, I emailed Scott who was the CW Logistic Manager, now resigned and Kyran replaces him. He updated the status of my order. [update]: After two weeks in custom, my watch C65 SH21 finally cleared for delivery and picked up at DHL centre last Tuesday. ...

Re: Delivery timescales

I may do tomorrow. I've been away for the last two weeks and have been a bit distracted. I think it'll help to get it expedited. Good luck. Exactly. Email them to check on status. Re: Delivery timescales

I posted a few weeks back about a C65 Trident GMT that leaked water on it's first dip in the ocean. The CS experience started badly but gradually improved and resulted in a full refund and some friendly emails from Mike France and Adrian Buchmann. After a week or two of reflection I decided to spend...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

I had the exact same thing happening with my C65 Vintage GMT, first exposure to water and then mist /fogging on the inside of the chrystal... My watch was about two months old and the issue occured after a short swim, no diving. Sent it back and got an e-mail saying it would be a warranty repair. M...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

I've been away in Italy for a week so apologies for the radio silence. My issue with CW regarding my C65 GMT was eventually settled amicably and I recieved a full refund. Both Adrian and Mike went the extra mile and shared some kind words that restored my faith in CW's customer service. It very much...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

I'd like to buy British again, if only for the emotional attachment. Well, if you are open to second hand there are a couple of decent buys on eBay at the moment (I’m watching both but probably won’t be indulging as it’s only just over a week since my last buy). If you are after a diver there’s a F...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

I'm not really a watch collector. I buy a watch to keep for good and wear till I drop, hopefully. I wouldn't want to have to buy a beer for each forum member who started out like that. That includes present company. I started off with the Omega I got from my grandad, but at some point I decided I d...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

Glad that this issue was resolved to your satisfaction. Sad that you won't be able to enjoy a watch you obviously had a connection with. As for a replacement, the obvious choice to me is a Halios Seaforth GMT. Currently not available from Halios though (and unknown if he will produce another run), ...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

Clearly an excellent ( and correct ) result. The question that has to be asked is why did there have to be such a public customer services debacle before getting to the right outcome? It would seem that there is a lack of procedural or policy clarity / knowledge / experience / empowerment with CS r...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

Okidoki, that's good news. Think about the following idea: Get yourself a "tool watch" for those beach outings -- a watch which you like for its character, and of which you're confident it'll take a beating, but which is priced in such a way that you won't feel too much hurt if you loose ...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

So they did the decent thing in the end....result. More reason to give people buying CW some confidence in the brand. I would have preferred to have seen a clearer more factually correct statement of events from the beginning, rather than the drip feed of unexpected information. I think it would ha...
