Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

Thank you to all of you who have attempted to answer my questions (for those few only interested in picking a fight or point scoring why bother?) Has any of this helped me make a decision? Sort of I had decided to visit the CW showroom at Maidenhead and take a look for myself but then, unexpectedly ...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

Thanks my only experience of Omega was a Seamaster Pro 300m with the black dial and sword hands as seen here http://watchuupto.com/watches/10-years-on-the-omega-seamaster-300m-professional/ which I owned for a short time. A lovely watch but one that I never felt comfortable with. My inclusion of Ome...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

Thank you, that was a helpful and well considered reply and most welcome, thanks again. As a new member, and someone with no experience of CW in their earlier, happier, days, it’s reasonable for the OP to be a little wary of their promises, having read a plethora of complaints over the past several ...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

Thanks, most useful I like CW watches and for what it's worth, if I were in the market for a new watch I'd take the punt, especially given the 60/60 waranty. I have a Tudor Black Bay 36 for quality reference and the fit and finish is not a million miles away. The customer service from Tudor however,...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

How easy is it to get a refund if the customer service is as bad as some suggest? The 60 day return seems like a good idea if the service behind it is satisfactory, but I gathered from a number of posts, including, I believe, yours, that it isn't. I still like the look and specs of the watch but am...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

Thank you for a most useful reply. I've not got / had all the watches in the list but my take is that leaving aside money and considering design, finish, fit, materials, movement, comfort, style, etc. I'd put CW at or near the top of the list with Omega, Longines, Tag, Certina and Tissot (not seen t...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

Sorry it was Mikkie14 who said they were holding off until this "phase" of poor customer service was over If you look back though all my interactions on here, at no point will you find any comment, from me, that suggests I’m holding off from buying anything from CW! If there are CS issues...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

Odd that you're holding off yet advising me to buy. What if I buy a watch, don't like it or there is a fault and I end up stuck with it? Having to prove that whatever the issue is isn't something I've caused. After all the poor CS is enough to prevent you sticking your hand in your pocket Faults and...

In my experience Seiko divers' bezels are terrible ! Only the occasional one has decent action....

Re: Is this acceptable on a £1250 watch?

Really? Seiko divers have nice precise bezel movements without any play, so does my old Longines and many other watches I've used
tomc1944 wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2019 10:45 am There has to be so play in it so that it can move.

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

The point is simple, I can go into any watch shop and take a look at the watches I like and judge for myself. CW I have only pictures, which look great, and users comments. Its a matter of choice at the moment I'm pretty torn between the Certina and the Longines and the CW Trident, two I can look at...

Re: Trident MKII Automatic

Thank you I hadn't seen them :D @Ringwood - there are a couple of MkII Tridents in the CW Summer Sale @ 40% off . There's a standard black/black and an attractive black/red, both @ £396, along with a couple of more expensive White dial SH21 powered LEs. These will be new and end of line pieces. Wort...

Re: Is this acceptable on a £1250 watch?

I just looked at your video and to be honest that would drive me up the wall. When something is an expensive luxury we want it to be right and small faults spoil the experience of owning it
