Re: The Olympics

Loved that Triathlon relay - what a race. Agree with JAFO, didn’t seem 1hr 30mins - I haven’t moved watching it! Triathlon relay. Well that was great. They said it was about 1 hr 30 mins. Seemed much shorter than that. That's a great format. Agreed. Wanted to see the finish but wasn't sure if it wo...

Re: The Olympics

As the one who unwittingly kicked off this debate, I should like to bring up my original post. It was never my intention to discuss whether certain sports should actually be regarded as sports or not. I was merely saying that I prefer sports with an absolute criterion or goalscoring element (quanti...

Re: The Olympics

Some contrasting comments about the Olympics and what constitutes a sport! As a celebration of sport with participants from across the world, there are bound to be events which are less popular to some but surely they all have a right to be respected as a sport? Or at least the dedication and skill ...

Re: Exclusive CW Forum Prototype Sale

All this said, the one thing I take deep exception to is the idea that CWE somehow welcomes scalpers. Daniel from Ward Hoard is not a scalper. His business model is clear and transparent and he has a good relationship with both CW and many of our members. eBay scalpers, if identified, would be ejec...

Re: CW Watch suddenly way off. Need suggestions.

I’ve read a couple of posts on here about using apps on your phone, I may be wrong but I was always lead to believe that a phone can magnetise your watch :? True, I think there is a small chance that can happen with a phone. However, the only risk I see would be if the watch is not already magnetis...

Re: CW Watch suddenly way off. Need suggestions.

I think there was some doubt expressed on a thread about the cheaper ones from eBay. Apparently someone said they were dangerously wired. @Bahnstormer_vRS (Guy) bought one from a reputable company, might have been Cousins, and said it did the job just fine. Didn't realise that, always a chance when...

Re: Exclusive CW Forum Prototype Sale

25 posts seems quite low.

264...ish would sound about right to me .

Good luck to all those looking to buy and hopefully we will see some pictures of rare models soon.

Re: CW Watch suddenly way off. Need suggestions.

I've not heard of the boxes causing any damage, more people saying they have not worked. I've have one and it worked fine. I doubt you would see any physical damage and if that solution did not work you could return to CW for a repair anyway if it is operating out of spec. If you don't have a compas...

Re: CW Watch suddenly way off. Need suggestions.

Many factors can impact the timekeeping such as your level of activity, pattern of wear and how you leave the watch when you take it off. Such a sudden change may be down to demagnitisation as you explain. The simple blue boxes should work fine and are priced at around $12. As you appear non-uk, and...

Re: Euros (Football)

I'm sure Declan Rice was wearing a gold Nautilus when he was wandering around the pitch before the game. I had to bite my tongue. Not bad for a 22 year old. Think Lampard was wearing the same covering the game on BBC too. Then Rio Ferdinand came on with his white RM67-02. About £300k of a toy watch...

Re: Watch safety

Turn the refrigerator down and put them in the salad draw, they are unlikely to rifle through your lettuce. Or get Macaulay Culkin round to look after the house. Get a safe and get insurance if they are of considerable value. To pass them on to someone else adds pressure on them and if they are lost...

Re: Are You Willing To Say Goodbye...

Yes . If an alternative can be provided which has equal or better qualities, whilst also potentially contributing to supporting a more sustainable world, why not? Whilst it may be classed as a by-product, it is clear that a preference for meat alternatives is growing with the sheer availabi...

Re: Euros (Football)

Diving used to be about pretending that contact had been made and going down. Then it became making the most of the contact that there was even though it is a contact sport. Since VAR, there is now a prevalence to make your own contact which is what the likes of Kane and Vardy and many others have m...

Re: Euros (Football)

I've had a beer, so probably not seeing things clearly, but I couldn't fathom the Grealish decision. Anyone know what Southgate was thinking ? Regards Steve I guess to go to a back 5 instead of a 4 and tighten things up he needed to sacrifice someone. Seen as Henderson and Foden had just come on it...
