Re: TRIBUS opens its first boutique store

It would be interesting to appreciate the quality in person. It may even be easier to take this step in the current circumstances? I assume that they have decent start up capital and at a time when units like these in city centres are closing they will be available for as low as they have ever been....

Re: Retailers honouring pricing errors?

Ultimately in almost all cases the power lies in the hands of the provider whether they are in breach of the law or not. We often hear stories around companies honouring daft mistakes and it is sometimes even good publicity. However for others, to honour a mistake may lead to a loss and if many have...

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread

My orphan comment was intended as a reply to this point, so here it is. Meantime I’ll see if I can delete the original reply. That sounds wrong. They made an offer, you accepted, you paid the consideration on your side. Unless there’s a specific law for online orders, you have a legally-binding con...

Re: C65 Sandstorm Chronometers

I am not certain who designed them but it can't do any harm having another pair of eyes to ensure that the text is in the centre on first release. Well I think it is I'm not sure. Need to see more pictures to be totally convinced or make an accurate judgement but they are something different and an ...

Re: Buying a spare bracelet?

When buying a suit I've occasionally purchased a second pair of trousers, or pants for the American folk! This is because I think the trousers will wear out before the jacket and to have a second pair gives me that peace of mind. I did it because I liked the suit and could afford to but I also now h...

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

Credit to CW, it seems that reported issues in the main seem to work themselves out and get resolved eventually. It is just unfortunate that on occasion it takes more effort and stress than it should for the customer to achieve this. Enjoy your properly aligned hand/s and I hope you have no further ...

Re: C60 Abyss SH21 now on the website

A bit expensive for my CW threshold but I do appreciate the stealthy look and understand the appeal. I think it also looks better than the tag posted earlier. The C60 titanium v1 is what first brought my attention to CW so some non-standard or niche pieces can work to differentiate them from the cro...

Re: C65 Chronograph - New Release October '20

There are only 62 comments at the moment, mainly positive though about the look although I have seen the word...busy. Some of the comments are happy that the logo is at 12 rather than pointing out anything else. How to make a busy watch less busy, put it on a busy blue dot background  Overall I...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

^^Tudor Royal...Agreed, just looked online to see if the bezel was less bling in real life, it isn't and the watch overall is a little too Michael Kors unfortunately!
At that price with the integrated bracelet look, blue dial and 100m WR I really wanted to like it.

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

Having the hands aligned is hardly a tolerance issue. They are either aligned or not. It is simply pass or fail. I really is not so black&white. The 2893 is known to have some alignment issues with the GMT hand. There's a significant slack in the general time setting mechanism of these movements, y...

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

It is not acceptable for them to fix your watch under warranty but then return it with a different issue instead. It may not be their fault and it could have happened during shipping which is out of their control. However, it is in their control to fix it, and they should. Don't worry about returnin...

Re: C60 Lympstone

It mark be part of the new CW design but is the CHRONOMETER and 600mI200ft ever so slightly off again?!

I do like the dial texture though, it really works with the rest of the watch.

Not using social media has its benefits - I can just look at the watches and research them without all the b******t
How you going to find out about the latest hipster kickstarter though?

You do right!
