Re: Modded Speedy - Mitsukoshi yes or no?

20191029_095537.jpg I own one and it really is the best looking watch I've owned, it has the strap monster ability of all speedys but looks in a different world (or moon...) I got a new hands and dial set, for more than I'd intended to pay, but it was going on a nearly new speedy pro that is still ...

Re: Which Thread Lock for bracelet screws?

The omega Boutique even recommended I use a lighter to warm it up- I'd taken my speedy in as the screws were too tight for me to remove a link

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner

I have felt for a long time that everyone I work with is a f*cking idiot and it really frustrated me. Then I was introduced to MBTI personality testing and it made me realise and appreciate that we are all very different and I'm just in a very small 2% of people who see things differently. So maybe ...

Re: They have to go!

Depending on the model and how much you require the cash, I'd definitely sell the AP and maybe hold onto the Rolex if it's likely to increase in value, as the poster above said. I have a 4 year old daughter and in my head I plan what from my collection she will have as she gets older- the raymond we...

Re: Paint has come off He valve, Elite 1000

I genuinely prefer it without the paint but would be contacting CW to let them know what happened

I'd also probably use a small pin to flick out the the paint on the H to make it uniform.

Re: more than one of one watch..

Have done it with various seiko divers but as time went on I aspired for the "perfect 3 watch collection" and started to consolidate them all Personally (and I appreciate it sounds weird), I get overwhelmed by the decision making process and worrying about what's not getting worn. The idea of a dail...

Re: Bad experience with Christopher ward watch and it's customer services

I agree, I sent mine back and am happy with the replacement (although have now noticed a tiny smudge under the crystal- accentuated by the glossy dial but barely visible so I can live with it... just haha) But I probably wouldnt take the risk on another and would certainly avoid the in house movemen...

Re: C60 Trident Pro 600 Issues

I would imagine you can make a specific request and ask for just the hand and bezel to be fixed when you initially contact them and also with it being so long since purchase I'm guessing they would be less likely to replace the watch. I got a replacement but my watch was less than a fortnight old wh...

Re: Consolidating

Yeah, i have sold a lot in the last few years and currently have 3 proper watches. A daily c60 mk3, a vintage omega for smarter occasions and a panda speedy pro(mitsukoshi modded dial) for weekends and evenings. It works great for me and I dont miss the watches I sold (mainly seiko divers) and I cer...

Re: what led you to Christopher Ward?

I wonder how many people have been led to CWL by the new Trident? Personally I like the new case a lot. The rest of the watch I like. I need to see the hands in person to decide my opinion of them. Mine was the new c60 via Scottish Watches podcast- I trusted the 2 Ricks enough that even if there wa...

Re: Dealers, discounts and finance....

I bought mine for £2700 bnwb&p grey market (Chrono24)- but luckily the warranty card was stamped (italian AD) I then used a 0%credit card balance transfer after initially paying on a reward card (so I even got back a bit of money as cashback a month later). My plan was to sell the big box and all th...
