Re: Buying a spare bracelet?

The QR and quick microadjust is worth it imo, super convenient. That said, i remember hearing rumors they were updating the bracelet? The new version would use screws instead of pins. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If you decide to buy, wait until black friday, there should be a hefty site wide di...

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

Update: they said they'd forward it to the manager who said they'd take a look. 3 days later it was shipped back to me without another word from CW. Arrived today and looks like the hand is aligned, but the work order says no work was done...so who knows what happened lol. Either way, thanks CW

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

It's hardly a "tolerance", I think. You see enough you tube videos explaining how to remove and install hands, and it shouldn't be too hard to get all the hands to align to the same hour mark correctly. You could get an independent watchmaker to reset the hands, although I appreciate it would be ga...

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

"Within tolerance"... A standard "minute" on a watch dial is 6° of arc. So a normal hour hand covers 6° in 12 minutes and a GMT hand in 24 minutes, with each elapsed minute covering 0.25°. This would indicate that a 5-minute discrepancy comes out at 1.25°. (Please check my maths - I'm notoriously b...

Re: GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

Hello and sorry to hear of the comings and goings of your GMT. It's a very good-looking watch. If it were me I would not be happy with the response that it is in tolerance, and I would suggest to CW that if they don't sort it out I would send it back and spend my money with another brand. However, ...

GMT hand alignment allowable tolerance

Hello, I have a question for you guys. Background: I just sent my CW Trident C60 GMT in for repairs for the THIRD time in 6 months. After purchasing and a couple months of wear, some dust got knocked loose and stuck to the inside of the glass. They cleaned it and repaired it for me...but this led to...

Re: 38mm GMT being phased out?

no more red gmt in 38mm, if i had known that i would have held onto mine instead of selling (would have gotten a better price if anything)

and there are GMTs in 40m....so it looks like the 38mm GMT line is done. I'll be holding onto my precious blue one for a while now

Re: White dial C60 Trident now available in 40mm

So are they gradually launching the same colors as the 38mm and 42mm?? If so, would a red bezel/black dial in the 40mm be next? the red bezel is actually being discontinued. get it while you can I may have missed it but was this announced somewhere? Yeah it was, theres a thread a few pages back

White dial C60 Trident now available in 40mm

https://www.christopherward.com/int/dive/C60-Trident-Pro-600/C60-40ADA3-S0KW0-B0.html Curiously, the dimensions are listed as 12.7mm height and 45mm lug to lug, which have previously been the dimensions of the 38mm. I'd guess it's an error rather than a new case, but maybe not if they're trying to p...

38mm GMT being phased out?

Looking at the page, only the red is left: https://www.christopherward.com/watches/dive/c60-trident-gmt-600-mk3 and we know that color is being discontinued as well. Just out of stock or was it not selling well enough so they pulled it? I realize their 40mm is probably a better seller, but as someon...

CW Repair Workshop Closed due to Coronavirus

I sent in a watch for repair and I got an email saying they received it but the workshop is now closed due to Coronavirus. So if you were thinking about sending something in, don't plan on getting it back for a while.
