Re: Non CW of the Day

Keeping with the theme: This came home with me after a holiday in early June. No intention of buying anything either, but the dealer was cleverly placed right in front of the lifts on the way down from the room inside the hotel. Don’t regret it! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190706/46d854e5695...

Re: Is this acceptable on a £1250 watch?

I bought the 42 mm Mk3 pro in red bezel variant. (I realize that the color shouldn’t matter... unless these are “batched” by color during the production process.) Regardless, my experience is that the bezel has a bit of backplay on it — it moves a little past its ideal resting point when I rotate it...

Re: Another Elite 1000 (mk3) arrived!

Re: lume — I like to wear a dive watch to sleep in, so lume matters to me. On my Mk 3 pro, the lume definitely lasts all night, and I can make out the time without my glasses (despite my eyesight not being the best). This said, my Breitling Colt Chronograph is much brighter in lume, and equally long...

Re: SOTC: Warren83 March 2018

This is an interesting question, particularly given that you do have a nice collection with both valuable and tasteful pieces in it. To me, that question about whether to shift to a single watch really goes to whether you’ve lost pleasure in owning the watches you already have, and/or whether they f...

Re: Breitling anyone?

Doesn’t sound daft at all! There’s a backstory about the Sinn 903 — at some point way back when, Breitling licensed the Navitimer to Sinn. That’s why the design is so similar. The Sinn is neither a homage nor a rip-off; Sinn was the exclusive maker of the Navitimer for some period of time, from what...

Re: UK trip watch decisions

Wow—I love, love your collection! It’s enjoyable as spectator just for looking at the variety and the colors across your watch box. To this point, I have not been thinking of myself as a collector per se, but your box is making my palms itch. In terms of what to take on vacation, definitely the Ombr...

Re: C60 Trident Mk3 - pictures..!

I think I’m probably going to buy an M3 in the next several months. I’ve been waiting on a Trident purchase since last year, after hearing that there would be an update. Now torn between the Pro (red bezel) and the Elite, but leaning towards Pro because I would like to have the bracelet. Decisions...

Re: Breitling anyone?

I have a Breitling Colt chronograph—one of my favorites. Not for everyone—it’s on the large side at 44 mm, but it’s beautifully finished and I love the style of it. Like Omega, Breitling does sapphire double AR very well — this is a watch with a deep chapter ring and textured dial, and a lot of the ...
