Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere on the forum, it made interesting reading for me and may answer hyperion's questions. Mike France is the front man and is aiming high.

Re: Almost there..

Another vote for the C65 wearing smaller than 41mm, I think if you tried it under the 60/60 you wouldn't return it :)

Re: Deep sea diving for Oldies

I have recently purchased a C11 Titanium Extreme 1000 which I see will allow me to dive to a depth of 3,280 feet. Being 75, my personal best, some years ago, was about 30 feet. Was my purchase a triumph of hope over expectation? Water resistance is about pressure, I had water ingress into a 200m ra...

Re: CS & 60/60 Test case.

Or raised the price because the quality has declined and therefore the 'average' service requires more work, in effect the customer is helping to finance the warranty? Cynical I know :) How much would a service, including pressure testing, be in the UK be for a Trident at a local watch repairer? ht...

Re: CS & 60/60 Test case.

What happened to the £99 service that used to be quoted? A 50% hike in price ? My 2012 Trident was serviced just over a year ago, £99, so yes a big price increase. I guess they cottoned on that £99 was very “reasonable” and decided to aim for “competitive” instead? Or raised the price because the q...

Re: Delivery timescales

I would expect a confirmation email within 24 hours (excluding weekends), which would also give an expected dispatch timescale. On dispatch an email confirming details and tracking number. My last purchase in March was smooth and fast enough, around 7 days I think it was. Living at the arse end of t...

Let me just clarify point 2...
To my knowledge this C9 is no longer in production so, if you really like the watch, the only route/option is a repair.
The C9 has a SH21 movement, so a replacement is a realistic option.

Re: QC Issues C9 Chronometer

I clearly sympathise with the OP with regards this matter and find it totally unacceptable - how it passed QC is beyond me. However, I think that you can only expect 2 resolutions to this: 1. A refund; 2. A repair (ensuring that the movement is inspected and checked for any damage). A refund is obv...

Re: QC Issues C9 Chronometer

I have suggested 2 preferable courses of action and wait for Mikes decision on the way he feels comfortable to proceed. For me the last resort is a refund and only if neither of my suggested/preferred 2 solutions are accepted by Mike. Let's hope a less than ideal start can end with a quality soluti...

Re: What happened to CW?

Your story tells a sorry tail, your watch obviously ducked out of CW towers while the QC staff were otherwise occupied, and now it had been sent back the lack of process referred to by Bungle-ator is obvious. Very hard to see this operation as being anything other than a shambles hanging on by the g...

Re: What happened to CW?

Front line staff cannot remedy a situation if they are not able or empowered to do so. If they cannot, fair enough, but then why make a bad experience WORSE, as has been proved on numerous occasions. Please read posts carefully before you comment. Unless, of course, you are the Front Line staff uni...

Re: What happened to CW?

Why should that be, as it’s the staff who are the problem!! Ever been in a position at work were you had to deal with a problem, not of your making and you are not in a position to deal with it the way you think it should be dealt with? My point was that just because you pick up the phone or answer...

Re: What happened to CW?

The company is solvent (as of December 2018) has a good product (most of the time) and has a track record for innovation. We can all surmise why QC and CS have taken a dive, it is up to the three amigos to fix it before the company's reputation is beyond repair, worth remembering the staff who must ...

Re: What happened to CW?

One side had my address on it, this was on the other side. Absolutely zero reason why it should be stuck on the outside of an envelope. It should have been placed inside. Absolutely, dispatch notes do not have pricing information on so I assume it was a copy of the invoice? I agree that it is not a...
