Re: Clearance Returns

There’s every chance... I say this for two reasons... firstly I got mine in a previous nearly new offer, and it’s a great watch. Handsome to look at and keeps time predictably, that power reserve is a very underrated complication. Secondly I have seen on a couple of occasions watches that have been ...

Re: Everyday Watch

Trident C60 any Mark, there are bits I prefer in all of them, but overall it’s my ideal daytime watch(es).

Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward

My view is nothing changes ..... yet. The watch you have bought is every bit as good as it was before the split. I have several different CW watches and they are all special in their own way, that’s still as true now as it was when all three Co-founders were at the wheel. Of course that may change i...

Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward

Interesting company make up.of the potentially new company (Ward bros.). According to companies house, Three directors whose surnames are Ward and company secretary called Wera Mettes. Re: New CW Releases - Jan 2020 - C60 Elite 1000

Yes I am...... Last years Elite came without an exhibition back and with an awful, (at least it is for me), Hybrid strap, too stiff, too difficult to adjust to my size, (even with swopping buckles). And now according to a recently received email from CW for “only”, £295 I can buy a Titanium bracele...

Re: Longines Conquest VHP

Treyford, Thanks ... I couldn’t find the answer either but assumed it doesn’t, probably quoting maximum life ... otherwise they would trumpet the extra .... Shame about the flash function only applying to the GMT, I don’t really need a GMT, But the flash functionality seems like it would be useful. ...

Re: Longines Conquest VHP

Treyford, Sounds good, the suspend mode that is with it self adjusting to the correct time when you un-suspend it. Does the battery life of five years include any suspended time? Or is it longer if you suspend it occasionally? Also am I correct in thinking that the app only works with the GMT version?

Re: Longines Conquest VHP

Richter,

I found your comment about potentially having to send the watch back to Longines if a battery change reset its calendar, I wonder if this would be a problem on the GMT version with the app? Presumably that would let the user reset the calendar as well?

Re: Longines Conquest VHP

Treyford,

Thank you for your description of the app functionality, it was both reassuring that it will do what I would want but also a little concerning that you have only 60 seconds to set both times, using the flash function.

Also the advice about haggling is helpful..
Thank you

Re: Zuludiver 400 (MKII) from Watchgecko

I have one of these straps and agree with the original writers comments about the general quality of the strap and the intriguing and agreeable odour of vanilla that the strap has and does seem to maintain. For me however the bit that stopped me from wearing it was the buckle, mine is the mk2 versio...

Re: Longines Conquest VHP

I have been attracted to the Longines VHP For some time, (GMT Version), the accuracy sounds amazing, I think the white version looks really smart, not sure how useful the app integration would be, and wonder is it possible to switch the main set of hands between home time and away time? Having quite...
